The indie game fighter roster I made not that long ago probably already has some controversial picks but it could have been more, I was originally planning on King Dice and Porkrind being the two Cuphead picks

I've finally done it. I finally filled a whole 64 gb usb stick with gameplay footage.
My main takeaway from the latest did you know gaming video is that Nintendo just straight up used child labour for playtesting.
It would be one thing if it was an informal “why don’t you bring your kid into the office sometime if you want haha” arrangement, but no. They literally just kept track of everyone’s children and their ages to get them to playtest

I don't regret it or anything (I am glad I made it) but in hindsight I'm not the most proud of my smashboards iceberg video. It was pretty low quality and there were some entries (such as when I discuss specific users on this site) I probably shouldn't have put in the video at all. I could probably have asked more people on this site for information since I have spoken with quite a lot of people here now. I'm not really eager to make a follow up at the moment tho tbh
A Cold War era Assassin's Creed game would be one of the coolest settings they could explore. The problem is, realistically Ubisoft would do some incredible mental gymnastics to make the assassins on the side of the CIA

The criticism that says it’s out of character for Kiryu to use guns in Yakuza Dead Souls is funny to me. If these people actually played the game they’d find it portrays Kiryu as hesitant to use firearms but ultimately accepts they’re necessary to stop zombies…
…Except he uses guns no problem on actual living people through out the series since the first game. So arguably Dead Souls is more true to his character than the actual mainline games.
Partners in Time is weird in hindsight. Not saying it’s a bad idea or anything but if someone said “Okay we need to make a sequel to Mario & Luigi and we need more characters because of the X and Y buttons” my first thought wouldn’t be babies
I’m replaying Dark Souls with a pure strength build. I got that item that quiets all sound you make and thought “wow this seems really useful!” until I remembered this isn’t Elden Ring and since there’s basically no stealth that’s incredibly useless.
The game Bangai O feels weird to me because the game released on N64, and then Dreamcast. There’s probably objectively nothing weird about that it’s just when’s the last time you heard of a game made for Nintendo 64 being ported to a Sega system but not PlayStation?

I’ve been playing Antonball in the lead up to Antonblast and the leaderboard intrigues me. How does the top score of all time have about 60000 but the second highest is in the 30000 range. Did someone just get insanely lucky or is there a secret strat one person knows about?

The Vatican II is the same kind of sequel as Metal Gear Solid 2 or Metroid 2. It’s deemed a divisive sequel but it builds off the original way better than its naysayers are willing to admit.
From a meta perspective I kinda like how fire typically makes the frame rate low in PS3 era games. It makes it feel extra dangerous like you’re slowed down by smoke inhalation or something.
From a gameplay perspective it’s very annoying.

On the same topic as the post I made a couple days ago, I started watching joueur de grenier (essentially the french angry video game nerd) and the funniest part is hearing him pronounce english names of video games in a french tone. It’s just satisfying for some reason to hear metroid as Metroïde
I recently found out about the DS Wizard of Oz JRPG and it looks cool and all, but as good as it might be there’s no way it can take the title of best Wizard of Oz DS game using touch controls as movement.

I heard that Capcom vs SNK 2 had console crossplay so I decided to look up what the first game with crossplay was and IGN says it’s Fortnite. Damn is this really something people believe
I finally played the four ps3 exclusives I got my system for: mgs4, demons souls, yakuza dead souls, and playstation all stars. I’m glad for it but it is kinda funny the games I was interested are all just alright (at least compared to other games in their series/genre)
Another thing I really like about knowing video game sales is that sometimes it’s really shocking finding out a game from another region is way more successful than you’d think.
Like for example I recently found out about the KartRider series from South Korea, most people in north america probably haven’t heard of it and it did poorly here but it had over 380 accounts made for it. It’s a free game but still a “mario kart rip off racer” having more than 5 times the sales of mario kart 8 is impressive
I feel like at least a handful of smash characters technically debuted in a demo disc and not their own game. You could probably be really annoying about correcting people about their debuts if you wanted to.

I was looking through a city I used to live in on google maps and I remember someone saying a diner was run by a cult. I look at reviews and I love how every one said “yeah they’re run by a cult but this is the best damn food I’ve ever had in my life”
I like knowing video game sales numbers because even though they’re flawed they give a good picture of the games industry, but there seems to be a big amount of people who will just deny that a game did well if it has massive sales numbers.
For example, Horizon Zero Dawn sold 20 million copies which is ridiculously huge (more sales than the best selling game on the best selling console) but people still accuse it of being an industry plant series or being wrongfully pushed by Sony. I’ve heard people say it only sold that well because it was bundled with the PS4 which somehow makes it irrelevant now and I just can’t understand being so incurious about the games industry.
