I understand why they would only rerelease Yakuza Kiwami on switch and not any of the other games yet to test the waters and whatnot, but not also bringing Yakuza 0 alongside it is just weird when the games are so alike.

People will often try to counter the idea that all art is political with “so you think [insert preschool age media here] is about politics???” and it’s funny to me because kids shows are probably the easiest thing to point to when explaining how media can have unintended (or at least not emphasized) political messages.

I found out what scratchin melodii is and started watching some YouTube videos on the songs. It is kind of annoying that the majority of comments on them are just complaining about the “newer” versions of the songs (which is just slight changes to how their vocals sound) or others complaining about those people.

I have confidence in the live action one piece’s future but I really think it would have been much better if they added one to three episodes per season so that they could do one saga per season. Season 1 not ending with the strawhats right about to enter the grand line just feels really weird.
Why do the “you spoony bard” memes from final fantasy 4 always imply the line is some sort of mistranslation or failure of localization? It’s a fantasy game so they use an antiquated word and it fits perfectly in the game. People genuinely think it’s a mistake

I’m trying to unlock everyone in marvel vs capcom 2 for gameplay footage and this is so painful I’ve already played for seven hours entirely over the course of the past two days. (Some of that was because I had the game open on training mode for extra shop points). Luckily, Cammy and Thanos are the only remaining characters I need footage of but I hate how the shop is just out of stock until I beat arcade mode again now.
Street Fighter really had an incredibly in-depth online database with even the most obscure characters possible only to give them the ugliest designs possible

Tears of the Kingdom, Elden Ring and God of War Ragnarok are probably the three games I've seen the most critiques of. I don't know, they're just the most interesting cases to me because of how deeply their flaws run while still being great games and I'll watch a two hour video about them from pretty much anyone

Today I woke up at 4, fell asleep and woke up again at 7, then fell asleep and woke up again at 9. This resulted in three extremely weird dreams.
The first one involved me going somewhere on a plane but I accidentally take a plane to Paris so im just… stuck there. I then proceed to be transported inside five nights at freddys where two boys about the age of 8 explain to me the plot in great detail and how to survive. I laugh them off because I know its just a game so I leave the room and attempt to get jump scared by Freddy. Now, the thing is in this dream for some reason I thought getting jump scared would hurt me in some way but it would end the game, so I was legitimately really scared when walking through the hallway. I also thought being hurt when getting jump scared was just a natural part of playing FNAF everyone experiences. Eventually I find Freddy but its the silhouette of a black sphere with arms and legs and my vision gets blurry until I wake up.
In the second dream I was in a post apocalypse setting with my parents. The entire world was one big desert, but we were having fun on vacation and there was an assumption that the world will just get better in a couple of months. The entire dream involved moving through one giant obstacle course and we play dodgeball at the end. My recollection of the dream then gets hazy because there was a big RPG battle and I rode the bus at some point, but by the end I was sitting on a couch with my family watching a youtube video and getting angry that they were talking about Final Fantasy V Cid while using footage of Final Fantasy IV Cid
Then finally the last dream involved me doing an interview with Shigeru Miyamoto in my own home. He drove in a model T and several members of the press were also there. I talked to him about a cancelled Wii game he was working on (even though it was cancelled I had a physical copy) and Miyamoto explained it was like the Harvey Birdman video game but with the tone of Shrek and said lots of famous actors would be in it. He then said Shrek was the most “arrogant” movie he’s ever seen and everyone laughed about Shrek before I woke up.
There’s a mural in my city that changes the design each year and this year it’s about video games in general and for some reason one of them is Rygar? Pretty obscure thing to put alongside like sonic and stuff but cool I suppose
When madame web came out my theatre was doing a deal where you could see any movie for only 2 dollars each on Tuesdays. So i thought it would be funny to see it with my friends, only to realize it was only for select times and i ended up spending 40 dollars to see ****ing madame web
People who can only express love for a game by asking for a remake annoy me
