The dragon quest 3 remake is such a weird situation because it feels like the discussion around it is dominated by how long it’s taking. While dq3 is one of the most important games of all time, this is kinda just a remaster of a 30 year old game in an artstyle that’s been done a lot before and it taking so long builds up a lot of hype that might not be 100% deserved.

I like joseph anderson but his narrative criticisms delve into just pointing out plot holes way too much IMO which is surprising considering how deep his gameplay criticism can be

Had a dream there was a freeware downloadable game. It was like a LucasArts point and click adventure only you have more movement and are a dude named Luigi on a quest through a town to gather three skibidi toilets (yes this was real). The game starts with you trying to buy a magical power star from a thinly veiled Super Mario parody when you’re interrupted by a photorealistic cat colour shifted red that’s the bad guy
