I don’t know exactly why because there isn’t that much differentiating the gameplay of each game in series but Virtua Fighter 3 has always been my favorite VF game and the one I look back on the most. It’s probably the bright aesthetic and the new stages which I like but something about it is just really neat to me. Getting to select a team of three characters ain’t bad either.

This is an incredibly specific archetype but shoutout to characters who are the strongest henchman in a gang and assumed to be one of the most loyal members but by the end of a story just kinda end up doing their own thing. Idk I just find it really interesting.

ok admittedly those last two ones are kinda stretches since they aren’t really depicted as commanding respect within their organization but still like their places in their respective stories and otherwise I would have only two examples.

That Capcom survey thing they just did was hilarious because they had databases of older capcom IP's that you were supposed to pick games from but they were missing some of their most influential games ever. Like Street Fighter II wasn't ann option anywhere, only Ultra SF2 and they didn't even have any of the original Mega Man games.

Technically Mai Shiranui and Batman have been in the same game. Mai was a guest character in Honour of Kings and Batman is in the American version, Arena of Valor. So they’re not in the same version of the game and can’t interact but they are in the same game.

I’ve played nearly every game based on indiana jones and jurassic park and I find it funny that while basically every indiana jones game has the theme song in the title screen the only jurassic park one with the theme song in it that I noticed is the 3DO version
