I like saying crisis diverted instead of crisis averted it makes it seem like someone else is gonna get the crisis
It’s been a while since I played half life 2 and I wanted to see what episode 1 and 2 were like but I decided to just replay half life 2 instead of jumping right into them. And can I just say I am so thankful I didn’t start half life 2 episode one in this condition because otherwise I might have thought the whole series was like that.

Now that I think on it, the reason Dream’s face reveal seemed so off wasn’t because he was “ugly” or something because he looks perfectly fine but the fact that he held his face at that one weird unnatural angle the whole time kinda makes it a bit uncomfortable

I think Guilty Gear Strive's designs are better than anything else in the series but I do understand people not liking them, there was definitely an edge to the earlier designs
Calling something “bait” only works when it’s unquestionably made just to grab attention. The way people use it most of the time now is just “I disagree with this opinion so I’m going to tell myself it’s not sincere so I don’t have to think about it.”
I made a video where I mention if DK was added to Smash today he would be thought of first and foremost as a Mario character and not a Donkey Kong Country character and that statement was weirdly controversial? Mind you I never said he should be considered from the Mario series and not the Donkey Kong Country series with the little series logos in Smash, I just said that most people would think “donkey kong? oh yeah the Mario character” and saying that somehow got people mad
Unfortunately we’re not very close to the point this could happen since there’s still a lot of Stone Ocean left untranslated but I think it would be cool if Steel Ball Run’s official English serialization started on its 20th anniversary
When I joke that the switch will have performance issues running a game that’s like PS3/Xbox 360 era and people say the switch has handled more graphically intensive games just fine…
Yes, the Switch absolutely can run pretty powerful games just fine but that requires some more optimization which most companies are just too lazy to do or don’t think are necessary
Another thing that kind of annoys me about the Metal Gear games is the way difficulty affects it. Removing the radar on hard mode is just way to much of an ask and should be relegated to extreme mode when the radar is such an integral part of how you play, especially MGS1. Euro Extreme (where you get a game over whenever you’re spotted) is also really fun in MGS3 but it’s also basically broken in some spots
why the actual hell does the dlc for metal gear solid legacy collection that adds other languages take 7 GIGABITES and you have to download it to play certain versions of the game regardless of whether you’re going to pick them or not
I think Kunio-kun or Billy & Jimmy Lee in Smash would probably make a lot more sense from a "game history" perspective but the river city girls would just be so much more fun IMO.

The final boss of WarioWare Smooth Moves was really finnicky early wii motion controls to me but I don't think I mind because of how funny it is
Definitely well past the day where posts like these are in season but my favorite movie this year was probably Barbie and then my favorite game is either Like A Dragon Ishin or Pizza Tower depending on wether or not you count remakes that barely change anything about the original
The fact that I’ve never heard of a new live service game in a good while should be more reassuring if the games industry didn’t find ways to be terrible in other ways
Discourse on this stupid game has been so incredibly tiring to see (and all I have seen from it has been against my will) but I think that one post about The Coffin of Andy and Leyley where someone says “Why would you put incest in a horror game??” was so funny. It’s a game genre specifically about making you feel uncomfortable that portrays something that makes people uncomfortable.

I had a dream where I was for some reason back in school and we had to go around and mark a paper every time we saw someone we know, so I got a nice little “see everyone you’ve ever known” in my dream. Then for some reason Drifting Dimensions was a real game and I specifically saw there was a “time warp” mode which had frank n furter as its icon that randomly selects a bunch of 80s characters for you. The game’s menu also resembled Smash 64. Anyways I remember walking around a mall briefly and then I was outside and saw a bunch of penguins that all looked like mini brontosaurus’es and then one bit me and I woke up

You know how everyone likes the gomez/morticia and jessica/roger rabbit dynamic? I feel like they should have a gender swapped version of it, have a conventionally attractive man everyone wants and he’s in a deeply devoted and loving relationship with a woman who’s an absolute gremlin. Feel like there’s some potential in that.
My sister is a fan of bungou stray dogs so i watched it which is why I talked about it earlier and now she's reading all the books that a character's ability is named after. So I might consider it one of the worst and most embarassing shonen ever but it does lead to people reading Dostoyevsky so that's funny -
