I actually kinda love how much the widescreen format breaks the final stage of PaRappa the Rapper in the PSP and PS4 versions - not in an "Oh my god, this is so jank, I love it" way, but in the sense that revealing how small the actually rendered segment of the audience is makes it look more like an amateur concert, which I think fits a tiny bit better for PTR1 and it's non-existent plot

I don't know why people say that Wonder is a "return to 2000s Mario" in terms of creativity - it reminds me a lot more of World and SMB3's approach to experimenting with existing Mario mechanics/characters than it does Sunshine and Galaxy's mostly original gameplay and characters.
