I have major WarioWare Move It FOMO. I want to play it so bad, but the only reliably motion-control-compatible controllers are first party ones, which I am NOT under any means going to spend money on.

I don't know why people say that Wonder is a "return to 2000s Mario" in terms of creativity - it reminds me a lot more of World and SMB3's approach to experimenting with existing Mario mechanics/characters than it does Sunshine and Galaxy's mostly original gameplay and characters.

With how much inspiration Mario Wonder takes from games like Sonic Mania and Rayman Legends, it give me slight hope that Smash will follow suit in taking inspiration in titles from its genre outside of its own installments

NASB fans legitimately find the prospect of playing as a baby in a fighting game more offensive than the prospect of playing as a magical ambiguously-indigenous person with a nonsense name and white VA.
I'm sure this is a quality video, I like Big Joel's stuff, and the title makes total sense knowing Dr. Phil, but at the same time the phrase "Evil Lost Media" is very funny to me.

Apparently the AVGN's manager tried to get him to do a Sonic video for the release of the second LA Sonic movie... and it was Sonic 3???? Out of all of the Sonic games, the one that pretty much everyone unanimously agrees is a banger?
I kinda want to have a go at reimagining PSASBR's mechanics and seeing if I can salvage "only supers kill". May require dropping (or downplaying) the "Platform" half of the game, but still.

The Dreamworks kart game has... actual character interactions??? WHAT?
One thing I think would be cool in a future Mario Kart would be if all variants were fixed in to every character - so, everyone has a fire form, everyone has a metal form, everyone has a doctor form, so on.
Not sure how stuff like babies or elephants that couldn't be made into simple skins would be handled with this though.
I still beat myself up over not responding to a NASB thread post saying "people weren't excited for Sora's moveset, they were excited that Sora was in" with "well, that proves the new Smash games aren't very good at movesets then".

I tried to write an "every move is an obscure or comically specific reference" moveset for Mario as a joke, and while I didn't finish it, there was one idea I actually thought was kinda cool - or at least unique - from a functional perspective - probably already exists in some fighting game, possibly even Smash, but still
Down Air - Donkey Kong Falling Damage
Mario drops down the ground like a stall and fall, and does the Donkey Kong death animation when he lands. The landing deals damage, not the fall.
If bad games ever get repped in Smash with the specific intent of representing a bad game, it'll probably be Spelunker.
