When the Amazing Digital Circus was going viral I watched 5 minutes of the pilot, and then had a dream the same night where I played a video game adaptation that was the most mediocre platformer imaginable (it looked a lot like Garfield's Nightmare for DS), but it had the Yoshi's Story permadeath system except they actually died.
Not into zoomer horror, but I really love the aesthetic design of everything I've seen from this show. I remember watching Little Runmo and thinking it was kinda cool as well.
Choosing what character you want to play based on how much you like their source material or even design and not how they play sounds really depressing in hindsight.

Sonic Superstars is good - not Sonic Mania good, but it's good. Feels a bit surreal to control a 3D Sonic model with proper physics, heh.

For context: The "Ralph" here is Wreck-It Ralph, and the DVDs in question are his own movies.
I clicked on a video about NASB titled "Smash Clone Review!" and the first second of the video was the guy saying "When you think of classic fighting games..." while showing footage of Punch-Out.
The Pibby Yosemite Sam concept art is way better than the dark toons from the actual trailer. He's still scary even without imagining how he fell into the goop, he works back into the original character design and personality while going beyond it too, and he's just the tiniest bit conceptually funny (even if in a morbid way) to keep in line with the source material. Way more interesting than just "give em a forced grin and make them a bit stretchy"

I feel like, if Magikarp was in Smash, it'd be made to appear as a joke character to an untrained player, but secretly have a lot of really good tools that would fly (splash?) over the heads of casual players, and possibly some competitive ones early in the game's lifespan too. A joke with an explosive punchline basically.
I could image it having moves that barely deal any knockback and only deal mediocre damage, but are so fast thanks to their lack of impact that they can pile up quickly and make Magikarp the best at racking up KO percents in the game, or having a slow run speed and low jump height but incredible air speed, making splashing the real secret to Magikarp success. Maybe even give it a Shine-esque move that doesn't deal much damage or have any special properties but is so fast and has such a large hitbox that it's one of the best offensive moves in the game.
In hindsight, the Sakurai collab being Game Center should've been really obvious.
It's funny how fan wikis for actual comedies are straight-to-the-point and serious, while the Transformers wiki is just 2010s meta joke hell.
A while back I had the joke idea of a billionaire giving people copyrights to obscure TV shows for their birthdays and other celebrations, and that's basically what happened with Timmy('s hat) if the NASB playtester is to be believed.
I find it funny how the NASB community has a warped view of which Nickelodeon characters are the most iconic, just like Smash has for general gaming properties.
Like, don't get me wrong, Powdered Toast Man and Oblina are surprising picks, but not at all deep cuts. Your average Joe Schmoe on the street is more likely to know PTM than Danny Phantom, 6-episode filmography be damned. El Tigre is probably the most obscure character in either roster but everyone acts like he was as obvious as SpongeBob. -
