okay learning that its basically impossible to get a flower dance in the first year of stardew valley was incredibly relieving. I genuinely thought I was doing something wrong or everyone just didn't like me
Goku in Smash I feel is an inevitability. The series will keep going, they'll keep one-upping themselves in terms of hype characters, Sakurai will eventually leave the series, and when Nintendo wants to press the instant money button, we'll have him. It may not happen for another ten or twenty years - perhaps not even in any of our lifetimes - but it will happen.
this was the first one that was difficult for me, I knew what game it was from but I hadn't played it in a long time, so I was mixing up the level tracks.
Currently writing a review on TotK. A short summary of my thoughts is that it builds upon BotW in nearly every way, and the verticality that is now present with the caves, the depths, the sky islands, and the vehicles makes it so that I'm never bored traversing. I think the story helps you feel a bit more present within it, whereas BotW was just [here's thing that happened 100 years ago], like that is still a thing but it's actually engaging because you are genuinely learning things as you uncover the geoglyphs, unlike BotW where it was "okay well all these characters are gonna die anyways."
On second thought, why was TotK said to be darker than BotW? After near-fully playing through the game, I don't think that's the case at all. BotW is about avenging your best friends in a post-apocalyptic world where no one recognizes you and everyone knows you failed. TotK has you explore a world you've now saved that is slowly but surely rebuilding, and it's a more traditional story of good guy vs. bad guy rather than good guy vs. the vague concept of pure evil.
I will say that I think, whenever DLC comes out, a playable Zelda needs to be top priority. Across two games, she's spent 10,100 years waiting for Link to save her. Let the poor girl swing a sword. It'd be cool as hell. Playable Ganondorf would be awesome as well, maybe in a side story about how he led the Gerudo army against Hyrule before he joined them, kinda like how the FFXV DLC handled alternate storylines and playable characters. My other hopes for DLC are expansions to the dream home system, more shrines (and tougher ones too, like in Champion's Ballad), improvements to the Sage ability activation (just give them Revali-style activations instead of having to walk up to them and press A two times), and lastly, Trial of the Sword, which is really weird that they don't have in this game since there were several Eventide-style shrines.
When you play open world games and it's bedtime irl do you guys dress up your characters in pajamas and have them do their nightly routine and then have them go to bed and then turn off the console before they wake up and then you go do your nightly routine or is that just me
Since the Light Dragon was restoring the Master Sword while Link was simultaneously using the Master Sword, that means that during BotW Link could've found the second Master Sword. Seeing him dual wield them would be badass ngl.
I wish that the Master Sword in BotW and TotK literally never broke. Like, if the sword's energy is depleted, why can't I still use it but as like very weak weapon? Maybe like 11 attack power or something. Then I can still use the Master Sword for what I actually use it for (cutting trees and grass and whatnot).
I adore Subspace but there's a lot of things about it that really annoy me. Like why does it show Snake's box on the Halberd for 5 seconds out of nowhere and then doesn't appear again for like 6 hours
I heavily reading the doc above if you are interested, but long story short, we're gonna be having an online team-based Smash Ultimate competition with items on! Each team has a set amount of stocks that are whittled down by opponents in a series of 1v1 fights, until one team remains.
Comment below if you have any questions. If you want to sign up, please say if you'd prefer to be on Linkmain-maybe
's team or on my team. (depending on the amount of signups and stuff we may have to move people around so that there is an even number of participants on each team.)
Actually very proud of finishing reviews for movies in the Last Movie you Saw thread. Most of the time I'll start writing a review of a videogame, intending to post it either here or start a YouTube for it, or even put it in my school paper, but I get hung up on not being able to find a format that works. Movies are just way easier to write about.
I was singing its praises last night but it is kidna weird how you have to unlock the spindash by getting an S-rank in every one of the new Sonic Frontiers challenges. Just kinda a lot to have a basic part of his moveset.
Pleasantly surprised that Sega just dropped a really good Sonic Frontiers update. YOU CAN MAKE IT SO YOUR JUMP KEEPS YOUR MOMENTUM NOW. Oh and also the time attack things in the open world are very fun, I guess they heard everyone say that the best part the game was the open zones so they just put a bunch of genuinely challenging levels in them. Very cool stuff, Sonic Team!
Maybe I'm nitpicking but why doesn't Amy turn golden like the other three hedgehogs do? Or at least have her turn red or something for her super form, that'd be a fun reversal on Super Knuckles.
Sonic Superstars segment focusing on the bosses/villains sort of, they did mention Fang but hardly talked about him - haven't seen the full interview though Origins Plus segment: "It came out today, we hope you enjoy it!"
Sonic Symphony World Tour re-annoucnement there were some new dates though Boring crossover stuff following two non-reveals because Sega doesn't understand why nintendo directs work
New Sonic Forces mobile game character or something idk
Sonic Frontiers segment: "DLC Wave 2 releases today!
Maybe a new spinoff game? This is the one I'm least confident in
One last thing: Story teaser for Frontiers DLC 3
I was mostly spot-on, but given how little we knew it's not like this was difficult.
My guess is that the talking flower is basically Wonder's equivalent to the Yoshi's Island hint block. Which makes sesne, that was also a game which featured several varied transformations and stage gimmicks that needed explaining.
I'm still addicted to Tears of the Kingdom but my joycons are officially out of comission. Today I cleaned them out and it somehow made everything worse. I honestly do not blame Nintendo though, 6 years is pretty strong for 40 dollar controllers. But yeah, I should have a job in a week or so hopefully, so then that problem will fix itself.

MultiVersus really needs some big guns to make an impact when it returns, or else it's never entering the public eye again. It needs to either add someone super duper controversial (johnny depp dumbledore could turn a lot of heads for a lot of reasons) or, more preferably, it could be the perfect moment for Walter White.
whoever first had the idea of dressing up Sonic in Beat's clothes deserves a nobel peace prize because that design goes so hard it could bring nations together
Me: Hey do you remember Austin and Ally
My friend: Yeah I loved Austin and Ally
White boy with a youtube channel: why you DON'T remember Austin and Ally (37 minute runtime)
"transparent" they said
