I really like how the DriDim Smash tracks ended up reflecting both sides of the franchise aesthetically - the stupid haha pop-culture debris "Kazuya kicking a football into Isabelle's shins" funtime side, and the edgy 2000s Hot Topic "trying to convince teenagers that the plastic NES robot is a badass" aesthetic.
So, is Twitter just outright inaccessible without an account now?

While I'm usually on the side of competitive balancing and keeping old movesets intact, I actually would be all for Smash just going full-on stupid and completely non-viable with its game mechanics and design - however, I'd need to emphasize "full-on". Not just a game with minimal depth, but a game with minimal depth where all the characters can do utterly ludicrous **** on par with or worse than Steve and Kazuya.
Also, the game would still need to be fun to move around in. That's important for every platformer.
Continuing off of my Space Goofs post yesterday, LGBTQ+ representation in media is so weird - more specifically, which media does it well and which media fails horribly.

If there was a Pokémon Stadium X in a future Smash game, I think I'd want it to not just bring back all the PS1 and PS2 forms, but also add forms based on all the remaining Pokémon types - possibly also modify the existing forms to seem more like a complete stage - adding small gimmicks and cameos to some of the PS1 forms and giving the PS2 forms slightly more distinctive layouts.
Finding out that "woke" was originally part of AAVE makes the whole anti-woke culture war much, much worse - which is an accomplishment.
Out of all the DriDim seasons, I was not expecting the lowest turnout for character submissions thus far (to my knowledge, my memory could be a little hazy) to be the series this site is based on.

I think the way the modern Smash games handle character cameos is really a cool idea in theory, having them appear pretty prominently and cheer you on, but the fact they don't really speak, react, or move out their fixed positions makes me prefer the Smash 64 approach of hiding them as easter eggs. I feel Smashville is probably the closest a Smash stage has gotten to getting spectators right, since the animals - despite not being coded to react to any specific scenarios, are still reacting to the battle in some form. The dragon on Cloud Sea speaking is really fun too, but the fact everyone else is silent makes it a lot less interesting.

Looking at alt costumes from Street Fighter always makes me wish Smash consistently had alts of an equal quality to them. Original or crossover skins especially would be rad.
Once upon a time there was pong and computer space. they were kinda boring. THEN THEY MADE PACMAN!!!!!!! IT WAS REALLY GOOD!!! but then pac man and et became bad so video games died and nobody played video games. THEN NINTENDO MADE ROB AND NECROMANCED VIDEO GAMES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! but then poopy sega came along and said "haha your games suck" so nintendo created the SUPER FX CHIP and iconic games like VEGAS STAKES and sega were too embarassed to make more consoles but they are friends now and make AWESOME SONIC GAMES then POOPY SONY came along but nintendo had EPIC RAREWARE to make iconic games like MICKEY'S SPEEDWAY USA but then POOPIER MICROSOFT KIDNAPPED epic rareware and turned them into BORING RAREWARE so they cant make the MICKEY'S SPEEDWAY USB they promised, now all is bad and fun is dead because of m rated shooting call of duty games on crappy xbox

It's crazy to me that Roger Rabbit, a film made in the 80s filled with "80s PG" humour, is probably the most tasteful racism allegory Disney has ever made.
I'm looking forward to seeing Elemental next month, it looks cute, but I know from what little I've seen that the allegory is gonna fall flat - really hoping it's more focused on the "cute interracial romcom with cool visual effects" aspect than the "it sucks to be fire!" aspect.
The main upside to Nintendo fans living in a vacuum, especially when it comes to pre-NES retro titles, is that editing fan wikis to remove rampant misinformation and fix omissions is really fun and cathartic. -
