I've thought of making a crossover platform fighter fangame with just a bunch of things I like, and I just realized that if a game like that where one person calls the shots got a popular speculation scene like Smash, it'd be really weird. Imagine someone using something like "they submitted Maractus to DriDim once, so it's likely they'll get in" as evidence.

In a way similar to the tilt/stick smash being not that great for casual players by being hard to execute, I feel that dash attacks are also bad for casual players by being too easy to accidentally use. I feel that many casual players will be running to move most of the time, and the usual high endlag of dash attacks can put them in a bad situation.

On my laptop, my Linux partition has literally 0 bytes of storage left and I can only login to the root account and my Windows partition can't access the internet and the fans start whirring if I idle for too long for some reason.

Expanding on the previous post I made about Captain N, I'm honestly considering running a creation thread for "Captain N-ifying" the Smash Ultimate Roster. But that kind of thing seems like it would eventually turn into just one or two people contributing per job due to the creativity and effort needed. I may just do it as a solo project.

I feel like a "competitive style" Smash game should have tools to help new players get into more competitive ways of play with even basic stuff like wavedashing and edgeguarding. And I'm not even talking about tutorials, I'm talking about stuff like an "assistance mode" that helps you get a feel for things in an actual game while making it a bit easier.

I don't like when people criticize Nintendo as a company by saying their games are bad because

A: It's very subjective. Someone can just say "I disagree because I like the games" and you literally cannot argue against that
B: It doesn't matter at all. The ideas of a company being bad while still making good products can and should exist. The quality of a product has nothing to do with how the good the place that made it was

If the YTP fighting game was real then I think it should have completely originally animated dramatic story mode cutscenes... which are then YTP'ed into the actual story mode cutscenes.

I really don't get why Smash is so set on not having multiple of the same character in a single match. (Aside from dittos) Like, in the train level where Toon Link is the conductor but is replaced by Alfonzo if he's in the battle. I kinda get why they'd replace him if Toon Link is being played, but why replace him if regular Link or Young Link are there!? It makes pretty much no sense to me. These are like, completely different Links. And you can already select multiple of the same character anyway. Also, Toon Link was wearing a completely different outfit drom his usual self, so I think it could've been completely fine if he was still there when TL is in battle.

I think that mini-franchises should get the "flexible content ratios" that main franchises get in DriDim. There are a lot of things that can fit as mini-franchises, but either don't have enough stuff for all of the types of content or have the opposite problem where they're perfect for going all in on one type of content but have to cram in the others.

I like how that one Blur commercial implies that there was always a big photorealistic cyberpunk city literally right next to this cutesy race track. Is this supposed to be an actual single video game that actual video game designers made in-universe and decided to design it like that for whatever reason? Is this like a Wreck-It-Ralph situation and these are two separate games? Is this not supposed to be a video game in-universe at all and these two wild extremes are somehow part of the same world? I love overthinking these kinds of things.

The Wario series actually seems more "beginner-friendly" than the Mario series.

Mario can only take about 1 or 2 hits while Wario can either take a lot more or is literally invincible.
In Mario games, the camera is usually zoomed out, meaning that there's usually a lot more stuff going on in the screen. In Wario games, the camera is zoomed in more, getting rid of this problem.
Stomping on enemies to defeat them can be difficult, you're trying to hit a moving target with yourself, and just a little slip-up in the wrong place can mean a game over. But in Wario game's you just have to face the enemy and press shoulder bash.

I think Bandai Namco should bring the Point Blank series back to home consoles, starting with the Switch, and possibly PC via Steam, and how they could do it is that they could remaster/remake the Point Blank trilogy. Oh, and maybe they could also remaster/remake Time Crisis 1 & 2.
