I was thinking of replacing my Minecraft Link submission from EAC with Link Sonic - the reason I decided against it is just because alts for Minecraft Link would be really fun - plus I have wanted an OC of sorts in the thread since I opened it, and Link Sonic is a real canon thing.
One of my original ideas for a Young Link echo was a "warrior Zelda", which I could include through Minecraft Link's alts.
Jesus the soundtrack for Ice Hockey NES is good. Arguably one of the best first party NES OSTs.
I really dislike Smash's approach to trailers, but I don't really think having trailers alone is a bad thing... I'd prefer to only give certain characters trailers - like, Waluigi gets a trailer but Colgate is shadow-announced on Twitter for example - and have trailers for certain pieces of non-character content with the same production values as the character trailers. A trailer for the Bowser's Castle stage or wavedashing would go hard.

There's the F-Zero thing I was talking about.
95% of Pokemon human characters are always like, just normal people, at their weirdest they might have blue hair or slightly-too-big shoes or something - but the other 5% have artificial rock climbing walls for hair and tiger stripes on their shoulders or crap like that.
Except in Trozei. The humans in Trozei are honestly the weirdest thing Game Freak ever made, and this is the company that made a game where you fight a prison island transformer.
One thing I've always wanted to do but never really managed to get the patience for is writing Gex quips for every Smash stage or fighter.
Is it just me, or does YouTube have a separate rotation of ads for every video quality? Whenever I set my quality to 1080p I get a bunch of new ads that I never see again when I eventually go back to comfortable old 360p.

It really annoys me how when people talk about EarthBound, the conversation is always dominated by the dark parts and not the... literally anything else. Of all the elements I associate with EB - the surreal imagery, the heartfelt storytelling, the Japanese satirical perspective on Americana, the witty localised dialogue, the ways it influenced Pokemon, the charmingly tedious tasks it tends to make the player perform, so on - the spooky stuff has always been the most negligible and bland IMO. Change the Giygas fight to just a regular grey alien with regular final boss rock music and not much is lost.
The series that have received new content in EAC thus far (new to Smash in bold). There's likely one or two "by technicality" series with references in alts or hardware-themed spirit battles I'm missing

That being said, I think the grass gimmick would be interesting for other platform fighters to implement into one of their competitive stages, just give it an exact timing and pattern, and make sure the base stage is a differently-sized clone of a stage that exists in a gimmickless form. I feel like "semi-hazards" like Randall and Whispy wind should be embraced more in platform fighters in general - even if tournaments don't end up using them, they'd be fun for competitive-ruleset friendlies.
There will never be a more iconic crossover
