Is it just me, or does YouTube have a separate rotation of ads for every video quality? Whenever I set my quality to 1080p I get a bunch of new ads that I never see again when I eventually go back to comfortable old 360p.

It really annoys me how when people talk about EarthBound, the conversation is always dominated by the dark parts and not the... literally anything else. Of all the elements I associate with EB - the surreal imagery, the heartfelt storytelling, the Japanese satirical perspective on Americana, the witty localised dialogue, the ways it influenced Pokemon, the charmingly tedious tasks it tends to make the player perform, so on - the spooky stuff has always been the most negligible and bland IMO. Change the Giygas fight to just a regular grey alien with regular final boss rock music and not much is lost.
The series that have received new content in EAC thus far (new to Smash in bold). There's likely one or two "by technicality" series with references in alts or hardware-themed spirit battles I'm missing

That being said, I think the grass gimmick would be interesting for other platform fighters to implement into one of their competitive stages, just give it an exact timing and pattern, and make sure the base stage is a differently-sized clone of a stage that exists in a gimmickless form. I feel like "semi-hazards" like Randall and Whispy wind should be embraced more in platform fighters in general - even if tournaments don't end up using them, they'd be fun for competitive-ruleset friendlies.
There will never be a more iconic crossover

I think the funniest Smash speculation ass-pull I've ever seen was when Nintendo did an anniversary pic for SSBU with all the DLC fighters and Daisy, and someone speculated that because Daisy was doing a peace hand, the reason for her inclusion among the DLC fighters in the pic was a cryptic reference to the FNAF 6 tombstone ending because "There are DAISIES and the children are at PEACE"
A platfighter where everyone is somewhere on the trapper spectrum and sets up elaborate setups like Steve, Snake, and Pac-Man do would be awesome, especially if it had a retro cartoon aesthetic or was a licensed title featuring Looney Tunes, Fleischer, or black-and-white Disney characters. A game that's less "OOOOOOH, where you at?" to watch and more "HAHAHAHAHA, that cracks me up!"
I had a dream where Nintendo and Cartoon Network collaborated to make a Jimmy T. TV show, but all the episodes were just reused plots and gags from Chowder episodes verbatim with food references replaced with music references - two people on Twitter raised mild concern about the show portraying a white guy with an afro and got 12 likes each, and Fox News twisted that into another weird culture war.

I like to think that DriDim doesn't have standard character interactions in the sense of "personalized dialogue" but does have loading screens depicting characters meeting off the track in both combat and slice-of-life scenarios. (as well as some vehicle training and car engineering stuff)

I recently found out that Munch Bunch yogurts were originally a cartoon, but not in the "Fred Flintstone promoting vitamins outlasted the Flintstones show" sense, but rather that the yogurts were originally a corporate tie in, kept the mascots after the show ended, and then replaced the mascots WHILE keeping the name??? -
