One thing that's been on my mind for a while when it comes to how the internet reacts to celebrity deaths: when Gordon Ramsay or Guy Fieri dies, veganism's reputation is going to be dragged through the mud way harder than the Peta Steve Irwin tweet ever could - no matter how fringe, those celebrations will be screencapped and QRT'd, and it won't just be Peta.

I had a dream where Nintendo made a Mii tactical RPG with permadeath. The "villains" were just tiny defenseless naked mole rats and the conflict started when you accidentally released them from a cage, causing them to dance to dubstep and run off. One of the selling points was that they made a filter to prevent you from making blackface/golliwog Miis.

In that same dream, a new Mario Maker was revealed called "PROJECT X-Y" - it brought back Mystery Mushrooms, but all the Mystery Mushrooms were like triple Mario's size. Before reveal Nintendo built it up as "the biggest Nintendo crossover ever". It only had the SMB1 theme.

There's something weirdly, albeit (obviously) accidentally, unsettling about one of Hugh's specific loss voice lines. Like, it's 3 things that are funny in a vacuum or even if just one element is removed (Hugh Neutron being brainwashed to chicken dance upon loss, Hugh melodramatically screaming after losing a comical bloodless battle, a trap remix of a cartoonish funeral march) but have a completely different vibe when put together. Nowhere near as unsettling as Garnet's old loss in MVS though, though that was probably more on the intentional side.

One time I told one of my Discord friends about my concept for a Smash adventure mode, and when I mentioned the ending would just be a slightly more excited 4th victory animation instead of a character interaction or unique wish granting he said "that's pretty underwhelming" - I responded by saying that after all the stress and infighting of the previous Smash hype cycles, the best thing a Smash game could possibly be is underwhelming.
