My stance on non-game characters in Smash is that I don't mind them, but they need to be Shrek and Goku - no more, no less, no one else. If you have one, you need the other.

Honestly I can't really wrap my head around why Tetromino isn't playable in Smash yet. They've had Tetris content since Brawl and it's a "character" who would please both old-school "celebration of Nintendo" fans and newer "celebration of gaming" fans. Feels weird that they don't want to go a step further with Tetris content, especially with Sakurai's weird obsession with game sales.
I feel Hasbro has a better library of characters for a fighting game than Mattel. The He-Man and Barbie universes could both lend themselves to really fun movesets, but the rest of Mattel's IP library, for the most part, either revolves around vehicles (Hot Wheels, Thomas) or I imagine would have a lot of moveset overlap with Barbie characters (Polly Pocket, Monster High)
Namco-era Smash has simultaniously set the bar comically high and comically low for platform fighters, especially ones based on existing IPs - on one hand, a game not having 5 licensed songs per stage or a story mode with fully voiced pre-rendered cutscenes is considered a dealbreaker, but on the other hand "we will pay attention to the community when making balance patches" or "we have functioning netcode" can be a selling point.

I'm fine with people obsessing over the Once-Ler, and I'm fine with people making the Once-Ler smooch himself from the past, but it annoys me that his fandom never once considered to just make their own hipster young adult human versions of the other Dr. Suess characters like Illumination did before jumping straight to the time travel self-cest.
The Sonic Origins versions of the S&K Collection music are godawful.
Honestly I feel a new Punch Time Explosion would be kinda lame given 1. how little CN like to acknowledge their retro properties (and how poorly they do it when they do to a lesser extent), and 2. CN having a higher amount of superhero/action shows than Nick, which IMO leads to more boring movesets than SOL or slapstick characters. I feel Hanna Barbera or devoted Looney Tunes would be a better "devoted Multiversus" pick than CN or Adult Swim
One thing I wanted to do at one point was go through the entire SNES game library and make bootleg cartridge art for each. The only things stopping me were not knowing a good way to distribute the pics once done and worries about file space.

Honestly I think the problem with recent rise of horror games for kids (Poppy Playtime, Hello Neighbour, Bendy, modern FNaF) isn't that they go too far but rather that they aren't going far enough. They kinda feel like they're neutering themselves for the kid audience when they really don't need to, and don't really take the opportunity to use said horror to preach decent lessons - the "haunted toy factory/restaurant/animation studio" setup would be brilliant for getting across messages about capitalism and how corporations suck artists and their creations for all they're worth for example.

It's funny how the one fictional universe people find the most fascinating to the point of desiring to live in it is a British boarding school named after pig blemishes.
Trust me, from expeirence, you do not want to live in a British boarding school - or go to a British secondary school in general.
After getting super into Rocko, I finally know how 2000s-era Sonic fans feel about their games being generalised as "guns and human kisses" - like, the innuendos and sex jokes in this show are great, and I understand people do mention them in a positive light, but there's way more to the show than just that. Maybe I just went in expecting adult humour, but I was more pleasantly surprised upon my watchthrough by the show's political side and how it discussed a lot of issues that aren't even discussed much today (Ed Good Rocko Bad's setup being an extremely blatant prison reform allegory - even if the meat of the plot itself is more of an apolitical election story - to the point where I'm legitimately surprised all the Rocko fan sites and recaps I've visited don't discuss it, and Floundering Fathers alluding to Columbus/colonialist mythology even if in an extremely light hearted way are both good examples.)

I have got the rest of SMSB's fighter jobs - as well as most of the stage jobs - planned out.
All I will say is... the Odyssey fighter job was added to the list specifically because next to no of the other future planned jobs would have Pauline elegible, so... oof.
I forget that Danny and Zim are in NASB a lot.
Late SSBU DLC reminds me of this

Judging from how the hub in PMM+ controls in 8 directions; its rectangular shape; and Pac-Man's idle animations, I have a feeling that a Pac-Man World 1 (or trilogy, maybe duology due to PMW3's bad rep) remake is in the cards and may even be in planning - but I don't think they're going to seriously go through with it until/unless the Ms. Pac-Man drama is sorted
After all the NASB launch drama I now recoil in disgust whenever "has (full) voice acting" is listed as a positive quality in a video game, even if not in comparison.
I feel Nintendo fans are right to complain so much, but they pick the wrong targets - they're right that Nintendo is a scummy corporation no different from EA or ActiBlizz, but they're wrong that Switch Sports launching without underwater rugby, tiddlywinks, and Harry Potter Scene It; or a Pokémon game not bringing back Pokémon number #17488 Flamingromicon the demon flamingo book and its 2 seperate mega forms is a sign of that. (In fact I'd argue the latter is a good sign more than anything)
It's also baffling to me how Smash and Sakurai get off the hook, when it is easily the definitive most scummy Nintendo series marketing and distribution-wise - to the point where going literally insane over its marketing campaign is just part of the brand and product.
I'm honestly really surpirsed at how quick the Cuphead DLC took to make.
I like the idea of a movie, game, or show being really dark and then the sequel is just mundane shenanigans where the prior events are never bought up, as to say "Yeah, they saved the world for real and changed the status quo permenantly"

BAD CARTOON
I love how one half of the Nickelodeon brand is glamourous sitcoms about romanticised Hollywood life, and the other is nightmarishly drawn gross-out cartoons where every voice actor shouts their lines - yet the prior category tends to have the more tonally cruel shows.
I don't know how Kingdom Hearts interviews keep getting misinterpreted as "this is canon to Kingdom Hearts" or "Kingdom Hearts is canon to this"
Even as a kid I thought Subspace Emissary was lame.

I really dislike how the Commodore 64 is used as an "isn't that wacky and obscure!" meme by most of gaming fandom, especially Smash fandom. -
