A lot of the submission rounds for SMSB are concieved by me coming up the entry first and then creating a job to support it - I've gotten some really good submissions out of this (the reskin job intended for me to submit Mario Paint on, which we got

Janx_uwu 's amazing Skies of Sarasaland from for example), and I try hard to make sure they're not too specific.

If a Disney platform fighter was to only have TVA characters, which - mind you - would be the worst possible outcome, it shouldn't have Disney anywhere in the title. Maybe call it "XD Battle Royale" or something like that. I'd feel pretty ripped off if I bought a game called "Disney All-Star Brawl" and got Owl House and Amphibia characters instead of Lion King and Toy Story.

I don't know why people think bad games appeared right as the Nintendo seal of quality was phased out - if anything, the amount of bad games has significantly lowered since then thanks to a better, widespread understanding of game design (and I say this as a huge 90s fanboy!)

While I don't really want any TVA rep in a Disney platfighter besides Scrooge (who I'd consider a rep for the comics anyway) and maybe Darkwing or Max/Powerline (the latter two I would also consider more as Goofy Movie reps than Goof Troop, especially Powerline), if there has to be some from outside of the Mickey extended universe I'd prefer something more vintage like Recess; Gargoyles; or Gummi Bears over the 2000s-and-onwards stuff. Phineas & Ferb would be fine I guess, but I'm not on board for Amphibia/Owl House/Gravity Falls/Big City Greens/so on.

If the NASB devs anticipated the hype, I imagine Ren & Stimpy; Aang; and Korra at least would've been in the reveal trailer, and the side-over-protags + PTM + Oblina would be revealed in their own trailers.

Honestly, I see Shrek and Goku in Smash as a bit of a package deal, you can't really have one without the other - though I'll admit Goku is a whole lot more likely (0.1% as opposed to negative 2%)

I feel that of the one-off characters to appear in a Simpsons fighting game, Poochie and Hank Scorpio are both the top contenders with how popular they are and how easily you could give them a moveset; Frank Grimes and Lyle Lanley are equal to them in iconic factor but lag a tiny bit with moveset (not to say making a moveset with them is impossible of course); while Ruth Powers and Gabbo don't have as much of an iconic factor (yet again, not to say they're unpopular or obscure) as Grimes or Lanley do but have more moveset potential.
