Super Eyepatch Wolf's Garfield video is really fascinating, but at the same time I think his analytic research on Garfield comics was a little flawed, albeit unavoidably so - at one point he mentions that Garfield (and in turn the strip) never shows Jon empathy, even though a quick Google search for "wholesome garfield" can prove that wrong, however I can totally understand that conclusion considering that he used a mix of RNG and Garfield fan videos for his comic samples, and those cute and happy strips are few and far between - you'd likely get the same results if you watched an RNG selected batch of 50 SpongeBob episodes or 100 Simpsons episodes, it's just that those two properties are designed for people to be invested in and have extremely big and vocal fandoms who can direct you to and will gush about the sweetest moments, compared to Garfield who is a character designed to be enjoyed casually in quick bursts and therefore doesn't have a large fandom talking about their favourite gags and moments.
