I kinda like the idea of Funko Pops on paper: get the license to a ton of characters, and simplify them to a unified design for figures that can be displayed together no matter how different they are. I just wish that unified design wasn't ugly as hell.

If NASB gets an AT equivalent I feel they should function like Smash 64 Poké Balls where they have one attack they perform one or two times then disappear instead of the more fully-functional mini-fighters ATs are - I feel that'd fit the fast pace better.

I feel 95 would be the best Windows startup to be Clippy's victory theme - XP is too short, 98 doesn't have as much of a tune to it, and while ME I feel is the most like a Smash victory theme, it's also... ME.

It's weird how you never see Smash split into eras like people do for series like Sonic and such - especially since it's pretty easy to sort them into "Namco era" and "HAL era" with Brawl (a Namco-style game developed at HAL) being the only odd outier that even then has enough elements from both eras to be considered a transitioning point like Saturn version of Sonic 3D Blast is.

It's really impressive how CTRNF online is still very active despite being part of a genre that has been monopolised for decades, having a pretty rough netcode, being published by a company straddled by controversy (even for this very game), and lacking any form of crossplay or crossprogression.

I love the Theorizer because while other theorists grasp at straws just to say "insert villain here may have had decent intentions maybe", the Theorizer tries to convince you that Buy N' Large from Wall-E created the superheroes and villains in The Incredibles for the purpose of desensitising kids to violence and in turn intentionally causing the energy crisis in Monsters Inc. - and you completely buy it.

I like my guest characters to be utterly ridiculous but also tonally fitting. Not another iconic character owned by the same company, not a callback to an earlier crossover, not a character often associated with the franchise due to similar genres/release history, but also not a character who is comically out of place. Less "Link in Mario Kart" and more "Shaun the Sheep in Mario Maker" please.

I kinda do want movie Sonic in NASB - like of course, Jenny; Rocko; Squidward and the sort should take priority, and the required negotiations are undeniably impossible at NASB's current state regardless of Paramount making the Sonic movies, but I feel the NASB devs could do a really good job with Sonic where Smash failed. NASB already being insanely fast helps.

Even though they're very different characters in terms of their actual roles in games, I can't really imagine Wart and K. Rool coexisting in Mario Kart because of just how visually similar they are - to a casual audience they'd come off the same as, if not worse than, Pink Gold Peach and Baby Mario.

I feel the "angry reviewer" schtick only works when the game/movie is treated as part of a comedy act rather than joke fodder, bouncing off of its absurdity and letting it get the best of the character instead of just the character pointing and laughing at its flaws. The early Nostalgia Critic and JonTron videos did this well, and I feel the AVGN has kept relatively good thanks to it being essential for the titular anger and therefore unsubtractable.
