I think part of NASB's problem was that it was the first fully crossover platform fighter to be designed with fans of the overall platform fighter genre in mind and not just the latest Smash. People who wouldn't play Slap or vanilla Rivals because of unfamiliarity with the fighters went in expecting Namco-era Smash content; mechanics; and moveset design, but got something very different. Same will happen to Multiversus, same will happen if Fraymakers adds Sans/Shantae/Freddy/Boyfriend/e.t.c., and same will likely happen to the mystery platform fighters too.
Kinda strange how SmashBoards News didn't do an article for Garfield's reveal.

It's always such a tonal whiplash when you look up haha funny meme faceswap crossovers on Google and then end up finding images of tombstones for people actually named "Homer Patrick".
The fact the media chose to play down the ozone layer healing because happy stories don't sell gives me this weird mixed emotion of infuriating cynicism and life-reassuring optimism.

I am still baffled that there are no Cartoon Network cameos in Space Jam 2.
I prefer multiplayers games to go for one of two extremes: no depth at all and just button mashing, or extreme depth and lots to learn.
I hate how all anthropomorphic food media has to choose an extreme between "food is deathly terrified of being eaten" and "the fact they're food and can be eaten is never acknowledged." I want an anthro food story where the food is completely fine with being eaten and can regenerate at will. The only cases of this I can think of Anpanman and arguably the Viva Pinata cartoon.
I've been getting these weird anemoia-infused thoughts lately about a video shop circa 2005 struggling to keep up with the rise of DVD. Every time I think about or consume a piece of media that came out between 2001 and 2006, I think of that damn cramped shop on a rainy Autumn evening and all it's sun-faded movie posters.

Calling SSBU a celebration of gaming history is like having a "celebration of world leaders" parade with people dressed as every American president, 5 British prime ministers, a single Indian prime minister, 2 Ancient Chinese emperors, and duplicates of the US presidents who served multiple terms.
When NASB eventually gets VA, I really hope they do a trailer with Patchy since Tom Kenny will already be on board to voice SpongeBob and Dog.

I fought a hacked Zim on NASB who would gain insane jump height every time he was on one stock.
Still beat him pretty easily though. Nigel's an air fighter, so it was more a really annoying advantage
I unironically want John Madden in Smash
I thought this said "offensive" instead of "official" for a second and got very curious.
If I were making Smash:
- The mechanics would be better - you betcha bottom half I'm reducing that input lag!
- The aesthetic would be better - Smash 64 wrestling vibes for days!
- The newcomers picks would be ****ing horrible - I will use every legal loophole in the book to ensure Jumpscare John Madden can get a slot.
Instead of reviving the Crazy Frog for NFTs, they should've got Moley back on our phones.

I had a dream where YouTube would instantly ban any channel using even a second of copyrighted music, and as such SiIvaGunner actually ended - but didn't have a proper sendoff and instead ended with a mashup of All-Star and the SMB1 Game Over theme; and a bizarre explanation video that was animated with the same motion capture used to make Mario and Luigi's appearance at the Kids Choice Awards.
