I still think the MK8D DLC looks better than base game visually. Let cartoony games be cartoony again, without over-done bloom or hyperrealistic textures.
I feel the only extra Mii class that's really needed is Mii Athlete/Sportsman. "Mii Mage" strikes me more as an aesthetic than a playstyle.
I feel creation threads have kinda taken on the same accidentally-different-from-intended life platform fighters themselves have, just in reverse.
Smash was designed to be a wacky party game but ended up being deeper, leading people working on similar games to want to make more competitve experiences; while Smash Infinite was meant to be (or at the very least comes off as) a forum game about making big fan wishes come true and realistically predicting the Smash team's next move, but people were more interested in adding their own personal touch and thus all creation threads afterwards have embraced bias and absurdity over wish-fulfillment.
I heavily disagree with the criticism of NASB movesets being "references for the sake of references", but even then Toph's up light is kinda weird and feels needlessly wacky for this specific character.

It's funny how EarthBound is infamous for having a bad marketing campaign, but nowadays is the only retro game Nintendo does any substantial advertising for - and arguably better marketed than a lot of their recent releases. IIRC the Wii U release was promoted in cinema trailers.
So "carbon neutral" doesn't actually mean eco-friendly, just that a lot of profits from something goes to environment efforts and charities, right?

I don't do "meme picks". When I say I want Who Are You Running From?/Wii Silicone Jacket/Bubsy/Trubbish/Clippy/whoever in Smash, I mean it. I might find "fat hockey player" funny, but if I don't see legitimate moveset and playstyle potential there I'm not going to rally behind fat hockey player like I would Jacket and Running From.
I kinda regret not putting the Wii Silicone Jacket on my Ultimate-sized 1P roster.
I think that when the Smash director said "I may have had misgivings about Cloud if he hadn't appeared on Nintendo" they actually meant they weren't sure he'd sell DLC to Nintendo fans.

I feel NASB has kinda settled into a small, comfortable niche. It doesn't really need to "bounce back", it just needs crossplay so the playerbase isn't divided and that's it.
I feel that Fosters in Multiversus is the definitive example of a franchise where the MC should be passed over in favour of a side character. I can't really see Mac and Bloo being half as interesting as Wilt, Eduardo or even Cheese.
I think my most wanted characters to appear in the Mario Smash thread currently are the Stork and a Diddy Kong Racing rep.
I love how, in contrast to Smash's roster of mostly legendary warriors with a few more down-to-earth folk thrown in, NASB has a few godlike reincarnations and atomic kaiju sprinkled among a cast of mostly underpaid fry cooks and 10-year-olds with daddy issues.
That's it, I'm going back to relatively normal PFPs, I can't top Wario kissing Earl... for now.
Calling it now: the Blue Shell cup will be a bunch of Rainbow Roads.
I probably will pick up the Klonoa compilation, despite me really not being a big fan of the Klonoa character or his world Door to Phatomile is PS1 platforming bliss and I've heard great things about the sequel.

I have a feeling Nintendo are gonna continue Ultimate with a new director - keep in mind, I do not want that to happen (not that I think Smash can't be good without it's current director, in fact I feel the exact opposite way, but moreso that Smash reveals are extremely stressful) -
