Why did YouTube add idents to their ads? They gain nothing from doing that, their logo isn't on it; no advertisers are sponsoring the idents; they aren't even perticularly creative like the old BBC2 or Nickelodeon idents, just the same bland neo-memphis animation played forwards and backwards

I hate neo-memphis.

I dislike the current multiverse trend because no media I've seen is actually treating it with the wonder such a concept deserves - I don't just want to go to the multiverse, I want to go there with characters who openly appreciate the beauty of the different worlds/cultures instead of being confused, scared, disillusioned, or even overly excited. Hell, remove the whole "plot" and "conflict" thing, just make a show or movie about a multiversal traveller meeting people and having fun with no worries of time consuming entities or George Jetson spiders.

People make fun of Nickelodeon a lot for missing out on pitches for shows that would later find massive success on other networks, but let's not forget CN missed out on a $3.8 billion opportunity by botching the Peppa Pig dub for Tickle U.

The CatDog stage in NASB is kinda weird because it comes off like a competitive stage desperatly trying to justify itself as a casual stage - I don't know how else to describe it. It's got a relatively neutral upside down battlefield layout with short, asymmetrical platforms, but then it places them at a height that isn't really really fair competitively nor a striking hazard casually, then gives the botton platform an absurd slope to the left and a foreground cover-up to the right - neither of these are bad alone, but it kinda comes off as an uninteresting stage without some kind of hazard.

I may actually write up some revamps for the NASB casual stages at some point, I do have a good idea for CatDog's house at least.

The Mario cartoons have had a way higher rerun longevity than other 80s and 90s cartoons (at least when only counting reruns targeted towards the same audience as the original airings and not nostalgia blocks) and I feel that's due to two factors: 1. Nintendo don't make modern day Mario TV content (yet), and 2. DiC cartoons in general seem pretty cheap to syndicate.

I just watched the animated Disney Alice in Wonderland and I don't know if anything was lost in adaptation or such, but is this really the story literary historians have been trying to find meaning in for centuries?
