While Ring Fit Trainee is the Ring Fit rep that I want for Smash, I also think it’d be pretty funny if Dragaux was the Ring Fit rep for Mario Kart.

The fact that the current state of the Pokémon games is because Game Freak is talentless and not because of the crunch they have to endure just makes me depressed. I know they shouldn’t have lied about the “high-quality animations” and stuff, but I don’t think they did that out of malice.
Anyway, now we're doing the first Tour in my Mario Kart Tour remake. Come swing by if you have the time.

Even if Nintendo just had to reuse assets for the original Wii U Mario Kart 8’s Battle Mode, they still could’ve just made original battle maps using those assets like they did for 8 Deluxe.
You know how the original Wii U battle maps were literally just Moo Moo Meadows, Dry Dry Desert, Donut Plains 3, Toad’s Turnpike, Mario Circuit, Toad Harbor, Sherbet Land and Yoshi Valley? I think you could’ve easily made actual battle maps with their assets. As for what they’d probably be:
- Moo Moo Barnyard
- GBA Battle Course 4
- SNES Battle Course 1
- Toad’s Parking Garage
- Peach’s Castle
- Harbor Plaza
- 3DS Sherbet Rink
- Yoshi Canyon
If Moo Moo Farm was in the Booster Course Pass, I could see the gates on both sides leading onto the bridges around the course for alternate paths on each lap, kind of like other courses in the Booster Course Pass.
Of course, considering that the entirety of the Booster Course Pass consists of courses ported over from Tour, that would probably require Moo Moo Farm to actually be in Tour.

Do you guys think Nintendo should’ve leaned more into the arcade scene with games like Super Smash Bros.?
If Nintendo were brave during the time when Mario Kart Tour was getting new content, they would've done an FEH collab with Elimine as a racer.
I unironically think you could form a Star Cup consisting of Super Bell Subway, Wild Woods, Dragon Driftway and Ice Ice Outpost.
Here's some Booster Course Pass tracks that I think the original Wii U version of Mario Kart 8 would've done justice graphically:
- Wii Coconut Mall
- DS Shroom Ridge
- GBA Sunset Wilds
- Wii Daisy Circuit
Looking at the five Rainbow Roads in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, I like to think they each have their own level of difficulty for their archetypes:
- SNES Rainbow Road: Beginner
- Wii U Rainbow Road: Easy
- N64 Rainbow Road: Normal
- 3DS Rainbow Road: Hard
- Wii Rainbow Road: Expert
I'm thinking of doing a creation thread that rethinks how old games are put onto Switch. Basically, a spiritual successor to the Virtual Console of old, but renaming it "Virtual Library".
Question: let’s say I uploaded a video of doing every cup in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, including the Booster Course Pass, to YouTube with no commentary or editing. Would I still have to pull the “fair use” card, if at all possible?

In hindsight, I think I like doing rosters for Mario Kart than Smash, since Mario Kart has more room for deep cut curveballs compared to Smash. That’s not to say Smash doesn’t have any room for curveballs, I just think Mario Kart is less competitive in that regard.

Real talk, I think I'm gonna step away from honest Smash speculation until the next game is announced. Right now, speculation has done nothing but keep going in circles over and over again and it's not fun for me anymore.
I think I once saw a tweet that visualized a Mario Kart track based on FEH that was made back when the BCP was still releasing courses? Does anyone have that tweet bookmarked or something?

Smash speculation starter pack:
- “Square Enix isn’t gonna get any content in the base game”
- Cutting characters that are popular enough to still be in the base game
- Cramming characters they know nothing about into alts and/or Echo slots
- Saying certain clones should stay because they’re “iconic” (they’re really not; this argument only considers a character’s function)
- Refusal to judge a character on their own merits
- Constant arguments over what’s “relevant” and “iconic”
- Only know certain characters through Smash and think their Smash portrayal is all they are
- Rosters tend to skew either towards being completely predictable (usually biased towards Western gaming) or trying way too hard to be wacky and unexpected, even though the Smash series has typically always struck a balance between the two
You guys remember how prior to Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite's release, Combofiend said that all the characters are just functions? Well, the conversation in the next Smash thread regarding a child Link made me realize that this is a completely unironic take in Smash speculation.
