I know this is really annoying and nitpicky, but it always kinda bugs me when people refer to Coronavirus as a plague. It’s not.
Edit: All I’m saying here is that plagues are caused by bacteria, not a virus. I’m not trying to downplay the severity of the Coronavirus at all

This really was a weird year for Nintendo. I mean, their only real two holiday titles are:
1. Not even Nintendo’s idea
2. A translation of a game from 1990, and it’s not even a holiday title if you live in Japan
So the Nintendo Switch has a pretty big problem: sometimes users under the age of 18 can’t look at any M rated games on the e-shop, even if there isn’t any parental controls at all. I’ve been trying to download Doom, but it’s not working for me
I’ve been getting a surprising amount of use from the new “send to smartphone” function on Switch

I’m not into PC gaming at all besides emulators, but man, I’m really thankful for Steam thanks to how they can preserve current games that won’t be available on consoles forever
Today I watched my nostalgia crumble around me as I realized there’s a Captain Underpants book where the main characters are celebrated for writing a comic insulting a student in their school, calling him dumb and fat. Literally everyone in the school reads the comic and makes fun of the kid and this is treated like a good thing in the book... yikes
It frustrates me when people don’t realize Nintendo has clearly delayed some of their games. They’ve already said they would have a lot of delays, and it’s happening. No self respecting video game company as big as Nintendo would have zero holiday titles in a normal year so it’s pretty clear they’ve be been delaying upcoming games and just haven’t announced the games yet
Boys have played a game in each Smash 64 series
Men have played a game in each Ultimate series
Legends have played a game in each Fraymakers series
Ring Fit Adventurer is basically a guarantee if Smash 6 ever gets made

I hate when you go onto a list of "most obscure Mario characters" and the first one is like, Professor E. Gadd or something. Just because it's not in Mario Kart or something doesn't mean it's obscure.
And this is a pretty unpopular opinion, but I don't think someone like Tatanga even qualifies as obscure. Fauster, Prince Pine, Warukio… that's obscure

I think it's funny how my name is still "Champion of Hyrule..." Zelda stopped being my favorite videogame series a long time ago. Heck, it stopped being my favorite Nintendo series a long time ago. Still love the series though and really don't want to change it
I'm not complaining or anything, but it feels like Smashboards always writes news articles like, four hours after everyone's stopped talking about the news
