Hey, if you guys think it's normal to call each other by your video game aliases irl, have at it.. We just clearly have different definitions of the word 'normal' lol...

Who are you to pass judgement on my skill level in this game?(I don't really mean that, i'm just attempting to prove this point If you think i'm a newb, it's your opinion... just like I'm entitled to my views. Also, I was addressing drephen, not anyone else but him.

Errr... I didn't see anyone complain about him knowing too much or being too technical. Most people have complaints of him being a **** in person, which is completely true. He isn't a very sociable person, regardless of what he tries to say in defense of himself here. I'm not making fun of him at all, he just really isn't very aware of much going on outside of smash.

to be honest that post was more of a criticism on general m2k hate (like all the crap scrubs spam in m2k youtube vids, for example) then anything specific in this thread. It wasn't directed towards you in any way, i haven't even seen you hate on him. (you probably havent)

btw, wether he is/isnt sociable or is/isnt weird isn't really relevant to this thread since it's about player skill, not player personality. I honestly dont care that people think he's an *******.

And to kreator: who gives a **** if you think someone is weird or nerdy or whatever, let people be who they are, you don't have to care about them if you dont like them. If you think someone is to nerdy or not your style it's really none of your business.

Oh, I know it wasn't directed towards me. I was pretty much mew2dad for a long time prior to brawl coming out in that I would take care of him during tournament trips and help him practice and such. He's extraordinarily high maintenance.

Him being socially viable is relevant in that a lot of people tend to shift their opinions based on how much they like a player rather than actual skill level of that player. Purely looking at recent statistics, M2K is obviously the best player. Even amonst the top levels of players, pretty much all of us agree that he is on his own level. There are certain people that he is weak against, but looking at his overall game, he is the best. There is no question.

M2k is adapt to your playing style, but Dashiz can really close. PC might can still do it and mango might. But it almost like the samething doesn't work on him twice. You have to have a different game plan everytime you play him. But he can be beat its not impossible. But right now i heard he's the best right now. But everything must come to an end, i thought no was goona beat ken, then KDJ and Pc chris came along. I though no one was gonna beat PC, but M2K caught up and surpassed him, but thats argureable.

To Drephen, I don't M2k personally but i met him FAST1 and he seemed ok to me, but thats my opinion and you've seen and been around him at tourneys more than i have so you maybe right. And he's 19 ,whats wrong with him living at home, I heard that his winnnings from tounrneys are paying for his college education (thats word of mouth i don't know how true that is) hell i grown as men living at home with there parent, those are the ones who need to feel embaressed.

First of all, YOU are the one calling the tournament goers nerds, and you're going to correct his grammar and spelling over the internet as an excuse to call him dumb? That seems a little hypocritical to me. The fact that you're resorting to spelling shows that you don't really have any other reply.

Second, the grammar (not spelling error) is acceptable. You just have no idea what you're talking about.

He said "your posts" are dumb and annoying. "Your" is showing possession. If he said that YOU were dumb and annoying, then he would have abbreviated it because the contraction "you're" means "you are".

If he had said:

"You are posts are dumb and annoying" (equivalent to "You're posts are dumb and annoying"), he would have sounded like a ****ing ******.

Meanwhile, the colon he dropped at the end of the "You just need to stop talking for a couple of reasons" is not completely necessary if you want to get technical about grammar, although the post flows smoother if he includes it and allows him to go to the list easier. However, that is a grammatically correct sentence with no spelling errors, so it's excusable.

Besides, it's hardly a middle school spelling error. I didn't learn about proper colon use until my sophomore year.

I was the falcon you played against in 2nd pools at GA and the guy that did that Bowser MM with Eggz then MMed you cause you said "I wish people just MM me" or something like that.

We were playing friendlies and he wasn't approach once in like 2 minutes like every match for a good amoutn of time thats why i said it. I was bored and not wanting to camp back so i was learning stuff. I won the majority when i was trying. Shiz is overrated in the sense that hes close to m2k cause of that 1 set where he was playing bad. Not that hes the best falco.

Haha, no problem. I actually bought that big box of them for the road trip so I could sleep. Eggm's Boat played smash the entire way down there and I needed sleep. >.<

Also, I hate counterpicks.
(I was trying to go Fox for most of the tournament, and I learn people's styles in friendlies so I didn't want to be lame and counterpick with my Marth. You've got a pretty decent Fox.)

just a note about what people said earlier in the thread about evo2k7 and match resets and m2k being silly and unsociable...

the only time that i've ever played him was in team friendlies.
i had a buddy with me, so we played me and the buddy versus him. we put on pokeballs on high, final destination. he wanted to have a partner of his own, so he picked luigi level 9. I kept trying to turn it off but he kept putting it back on. One time, while he was distracted, i turned his partner off and started the match. i think he restarted the match then and commented on how he thought i was funny.

thats all i know about m2k and him being antisocial and resetting matches.

shiz is top 5 in the nation GG shiz was playing horrible vs m2k in that5 set. **** both players were playing horrible i hate that set ui only watched it once and threw up lol. i usually watch shiz matches 50 times a day for good measures but shis was playing so bad.... **** both players were playign so bad. and yea shiz started playign melee again the day of the tourney at FAST(for people johnning about m2k playing brawl and getting rusty at melee) and you dont see him johnning about the match yea m2k should learn to be more mature and not jon but oh well thats just him its the way he is some people wont liek it but he doesnt seem to care. man up people
