Nice one with getting hammered Techno_ I saw a dude doing the chunder dance before he actually threw up which was pretty funny_ Brings back memories_ I actually have missed the countdown by one hour before because i was stoned with a friend_ We turned on the tv to watch the countdown and realised we had missed it_ Just resulted in laughing at ourselves and getting fried again, good times none-the-less_

The joy about new years is you get quite a few to go through and try celebrating it in different ways_

I should probably actually get lessons sometime. Now would be a good time, my uncle's going to NZ for two years and wants me to use his Mercedes SLK class to learn how to drive, but I doubt my dad will let me. Oh well, only one way to find out.

there are some things i really like such as the branching of into 2 tournamnets and the MK pit gliding thing. I also prefere their stage list. Some of their rules i dont like, like not being able 2 change your control scheme and the way they actually choose the stage lol. I think the most interesting thing is that they play with a 10 minute timer and if the match gets timed out they actually play sudden death lol

Their stage list sucks, and if thre's problems with matches lasting 8 minutes, I don't see how making it 10 makes it better other than they go even longer.

yea i would have thought their ruleset would encourage people 2 actually finish matches and not go to sudden death, not saying i prefere it just thought it was interesting. Why dont you like their list? I would much rather have plain simpe stages, thats my just personal preference though

Part of the problem (at least in the US anyway) is that people stall for time outs. If the time limit is increased, I don't really see people stopping from stalling because they have to do it for another 2 minutes. Not to mention tournaments already take long enough as it is, I don't remember there being any timeouts at Rocky, and that went well over time (no crews ;_; )

if you can increase the time limit, do it
it's there to make sure the tournament will finish on time, not to discourage stalling
in fact, i encourage attempts to camp and evade your opponent, because this in turn encourages players to attack more to counter stalling
and if you can't beat stalling/camping then you are simply not good and/or brawl is a pathetic "competitive" game

A 10 minute timer with sudden death will produce way less time outs/campy crap then a standard 8 minute timer. No one wants to work for a stock/percent lead yo try and time some one out, when it can all come down to some arsey bull**** in SD.

Not that any one has timed any one out in our scene yet so these sorts of changes are unessecary at this stage. Though I plan to change all of that, my new years resolution was to play brawl twice as gayly as I did last year, and I don't mean with joy and merriment

Hmm i will most likley have my P's at the end of this year and my mum is buying me a car for christmas. Might get a Lancer or a small Subaru. Not Holden because they are Overated. So i have until May to take my first driving test in order to get my P's before Christmas if i don't past until after May then i will be getting my P's next year which is a no no. Since once you pass your driving test they give you a log book were you have to complete 125 hours of Day and Night time driving but if you completed it really early you still need to wait 7 Months before you can take another test on the computer then be awarded with your P's once you pass that last test.

8 Minute timer is fine how it is. If we increase it to 10 i can see right how gay Vlade will play with wario. The extra 2 minutes gives Wario more time to charge up his waft. So have Norfair and Jungle Japes been confirmed banned? Along with Pirate ship.

Just so you guys know if you play gay against me i can play back even gayer.

I'm on 130% and you're on 10%, both on the last stock. There are 2 minutes to go. **** you if you think I'm gonna keep fighting normally. I'm gonna plank for 2 minutes, causing the match to go to a sudden death, meaning we both have an even chance at winning a very luck based contest.

The playing out of sudden death PUNISHES THE PLAYER WHO IS WINNING. It forces the player who is winning to approach the other player or have to go to sudden death. lolwtf.

EDIT: Also, I believe Japanese ruleset combined with anti-planking rule makes for a perfect anti-stall ruleset. At least as perfect as is humanly possible. Regardless of the rules, PEOPLE WILL CAMP. Regardless of map, items/no items, whatever. Banning things for anti-camp is just silly, because its a way the game can be played. Honestly, I think Japes and Norfair should still be legal regardless of the way they can be played. Why should there be maps to encourage aggression but only really FD to encourage camping? 'Gayness' is, even if you don't like it, just a way of playing the game.

I don't mind if pirate ship isn't banned was just checking to see whats going on the day so i know what the actual ruleset is for the day.

I only like the rule from the Japanese where you are allowed to go under the stage only once.

Agreed what Jupz said sudden death is basically a Gamble for the person who is losing.
