[WA] Perth Smash Thread

This so much. If you end up getting good at the game, but are just that much behind the top few players, you'll feel so tempted to use MK or whatever beats the top players, it'll just be annoying. I also agree with the Nice work Splice part.
BTW guys, if you clicked on the first link, the thing with GaW mains is totally true, I am short, love waffles and really want to play balanced brawl. Quite a lot of the stereotypes are generally true.

@Scoot : Falco and DK would be right if you swapped them. You have Big Beard (most of the time) and D0N is black, so then it'd be fine. I'll be sure to notify them of their mistake.
The GaW one is UBER correct though, in our social discussion it came to be known we are all short for our age, the American GaWs eat waffles regularly (ive had them twice and I like, I also eat lots of pancakes which should do) and Brawl+ was made by GaW mains pretty much.

@Fear. My advice, don't play Kirby. You only really use the down B when we play and revolve everything around special moves. Gotta work on the fine basics first, same with your sister.
Short hops, pivot grabs, everything. The control sceme I setup for you too should be good use, for now. Its important you learn those basics before you start picking a main, 'cause tbh you guys are new to the competitive gameplay and picking main comes after basic's.

Well, I picked Falcon when Brawl came out, and I stuck with him until recently. It still tugs at my soul for abandoning him.

for snake i have the control scheme as normal, except R is grab, and X is grab. this way it makes it easier for bombsliding
and for ganon, i have R as jump, and both X and Y as grab so i dont get the jumping muddled.

Also giving your cousins some type of control set ; how does this help? I find that control set changes are only at all helpful when you have decided on a character and it helps for certain things. Although Tap Jump On or Off, you may want to decide early.

Semi charged undiminished Downsmash from Wolf on a Peach at 149% on the right side of the stage hit to the right yet still surviving??? I see a major problem.

maybe her arse cancelled her momentum, because swinging it to the right like she did is the same as using a fan, she was pushing herself to the right by pushing the air left

Use the default control scheme, maybe switch x to grab or something.
Also corpse I have done something like that before vertically. I was just hit up then I SDI'ed and normal DI'ed down and I just kind of hit an invisible wall and came back down.

I use x as my grab because Z is so crap like. Thats why i still can't do that slide thing with snake properly anyway i don't even use snake.
Oh Fear use toon link trust me you will love the **** combo's you can do with him. Plus he has bombs and yeah bombs are awesome.
Also i quit my job so yeah i went driving today i did ok next driving lesson is january 4th.

You won't have a spirit by next year if you don't atleast touch the game by the end of this year.
Hmm next years book cost me about:
$450 + $50 driving lessons. My next one is on the 4th. So i'm 100% sure i won't see a tourney in awhile. Sucks too because i never got to see Tails and now two new people are coming and i won't be seeing them either. :/.

I forgot to say i counted 4,444 bottles went past me when i was working at work yesterday. Scary since it was eltons number. But more bottles where coming but my dad was there to pick me up. Yeah i am never working in a factory again. Need to search somewhere else if only game traders or video ezy or somthing like that would pick me up.
Muzga the tower of spirits you don't repeat all the levels you just keep going up to the next floor. Spirit tracks is basically what Phantom Hourglass was trying to do but failed. PH is still a good game

My cousin's were using just a wii-mote before, I encouraged them to use a different control sceme. Sure its up to them to figure out their own play style, im just guiding them.
