actually its not that hard
it seemed to me that you were doing fine numbers wise with more then 1 tourney a month before, you say having more drops attendance, but does it really?
the only real problem here that I see, is that the place you hire out costs and arm and a leg, surely theres a better place out there to be used?
Sup Luke, I venue scout all the time and the Convent still is the best value for money out there. Standard and smaller places throughout the city tend to cost a more because the Convent still lets us hire the space on a NFP rate. So nothing beats it for the period of use (12pm-11pm) and the capacity it provides (up to 300), against its cost ($165). We've (CW) been able to purchase many things recently because the price is quite good, but that's not possible with small indy Brawl tourneys.
All of the questions people are asking have been answered in the other thread I posted:

I think that covers most things.
Oh, and I think that people are forgetting that last year, Brawl for much of the year, only had 1 tourney a month as well. And that's when turnouts were around the 40-50 mark. We've never really had 2 fully fledged Brawl tourneys a month, it was more like 1.5 Brawl tourneys a month (at most, for a limited time). So 2 is still pushing it, but people are thinking about this one-dimensionally.
The first tournament that was run was going to have no tables.the last few 3 stocked tournaments were quality.
The second one that was ran was going to be short of tvs, for the second time.
Take a guess which organisation backed them up.
