Hmm, you actually bring up a good point Attila. People that main high tier characters have a natural, and in my opinion, unfair advantage over those people who are more skilled yet choose to main low tier characters. I've been talking about this with a few other TOs and we think that the viability of characters with the exclusion of the more dominant characters actually increases by a huge margin; almost all Mid Tier characters are viable for tournament play, in addition to some of the Low Tiers.

So, as of now, all High Tier [S/A/B] characters are now banned from Brawl Singles and Doubles. I think we will all be pleased with the increase of playable characters.

When I think about it, I agree with Conor. I'm surprised we havent made moves like this in the tournament scene earlier. There has always been complaints about chars like MK but we could never ban him because then others would become too good. SO it makes lots of sense to ban a few entire tiers of characters to a point where all available characters are too average to be called broken.

There will be a lot more even MUs and no characters will be bad because they just get CG'd or owned by higher tier chars like MK. I mean it's gotten to a point where a good MU against one or two S tiers makes more of a difference on a characters viability than if it can deal with the rest of the cast! That is just unnacceptable. I think this will give us a more balanced game, and will probably give the scene are more competitive edge in the long run.
