good **** kyle, gotta say i was a bit surprised. good stuff

on a similar note, I played Light at the same tournament and won! Very happy about that, my first oos win where i was the underdog :). possibly THE most epic/intense set ive ever played, it had so much hype too. easily my happiest moment in my smash career so far, when i celebrated/jumped up and down/shouted with the rest of socal over it. unfortunately it wasnt recorded...we thought it wasnt, then thought it was, but then it wasnt, lol. ~30 minute set, and won with 2 seconds to spare! oh man haha

then i got bodied by s2j and tai :(. i realized that falcon is a lot harder than i thought, and marth still confuses me..

i mean there are a lot of obvious flaws with the system

the most major ones are signing up under different names and some TO's not having brackets uploaded from the past while some do

but if i'm not mistaking it doesn't matter if it's pools or bracket or whatever. it goes by your ELO vs them when you play them (they have it so it runs pools first, then all of winners bracket, the does all of losers bracket) and your ELO changes after each match. so basically every win in winners puts you higher, then if you lose say semi's, you lost some ELO, then you win 2 more matches in losers so you gain some, then lose again so you lost some.

at least that is how i remember it being explained to me by someone or i read that somehow. i'm pretty sure that is right and that's give or take how they are doing it

It really seems like a decent system. If you log into the database you can flag inconsistencies in different names and such. For instance, Baka you can click on Light_ on the Nyte tournament and flag it to be changed to be attributed to Light.

Vidjo Dropping, aka V drop:
Named after its discoverer Vidjogamer. Usually, peach cannot Z drop a turnip while floating, attempting to do so will mean she will do a standard throw forward and lose the float. However if you do an aerial while floating, then right at the end of the aerial press Z, the turnip will drop and you will maintain your float. It is not gamebreaking, but it is traditionally used to combo a dair - vdrop - dair - nair. Another use is that while recovering to the stage, you may have a turnip on hand, if so you can float above the stage, do an aerial, vdrop, then continue to float to find a safe landing space using the dropped turnip as cover, or you can just v drop off the stage if you don't want the turnip anymore.
Can be used to land a bob omb.
Anyone use this on a semi-regular basis? This is my FIRST time hearing about it. It may actually get me to use turnips more.

I love the peach boards because they don't recycle lots of discussions like "whats the best way to edgeguard falcon" or "is it better to claw when you float?"
