And for some reason, I can't dragon punch on my arcade stick. :urg: I have a hori stick, so if anyone knows easy mods or tricks that would help me, I'd appreciate (by easy, I mean not soddering(?). I don't know the first thing about that).
Use a pad. :awesome:
***.

Just tap forward and do a QCF motion. Keep practicing at it until you get it down.

Trust me, if you're playing a competent Phoenix player, snapping her in isn't as foolproof as one would think. If she gets one hit in, half your health is gone. Not to mention Dark Phoenix with X-Factor can throw out Phoenix Rage on reflex and slam every non-projectile hyper coming at her.
Half life for a hit confirm is hardly anything to brag about. While it isn't completely fullproof it still puts the snapper at a high advantage and can possibly help debilitate the team.

Right now, I've only bothered to use (and like) Chun-Li/Akuma/Dante.

EDIT: I'm gonna be on right now, if you're seeing this.

Not sure if this is advertising or not, but I think it might be helpful.

For those of you who don't know, MadCatz has a 20% off sale on every FightStick in stock, including the MvC3 TE FightStick. You can get them at the Madcatz store ( store.gameshark.com ). I would have gotten a MvC3 one with this sale, but I just bought one recently, and I'm saving up for another project. :(

Their arcade sticks are actually incredibly well made and use real arcade machine parts.

Everything else they make is garbage though.

To be fair, the Madcatz store only ships US last I checked, so if you live anywhere else, you're out of luck.
I'm pretty sure that everyone who posts here somewhat regularly besides you and I live in the US. We Canadians are the unlucky ones. Except for health care, we got em there.

Think before you talk
She definitely does beat Wesker.

My state is saturated with both Phoneix's and Wesker's. Also the fact that I play both sides of the match ups is why I feel I know the the best.

The thing is Wesker literally can't do anything to Phoneix just SJ back fireball. And if And if he tries to go air to air you can just down heavy and get some easy damage.

That's my experience with the match up and i've played the people I play down here.. But everyone is entitled to opinion though.

Also everyone kills Phoneix in one combo so I don't get the point :/

That matchup is definitely in Wesker's favour.

Not saying it's really good or bad for either, but still.
I agree with this. I think the biggest part of it is that Wesker is ridiculously mobile and he hits like a mother****ing truck. Combine that with the fact that Phoenix has really low health, well, the match-up doesn't bode well.

Of course, it's not overwhelmingly impossible for her to win. Phoenix has a lot of potential on offense with her projectiles, her setups/reset combos (especially with the right assists), and her mobility (which is good, not great). The biggest draw is that she'll be on defense soooooo ****ing much. It's touch and go for Phoenix the whole damn time, meaning that she's going to be spending most of her time blocking or evading, occasionally throwing out the odd (safe) attack and hoping to hit. Phoenix would have to just try and zone him out and get the drop on him (i.e. get a hit...CONFIRM'D on an assist or an attack) and get him the **** OUTTA HERE. Wesker can get around her stuff so easily with his teleports and his counters; this is probably when having a solid assist for Phoenix to cover herself defensively would come into play, but I'm kind of speaking individually here. Not something you really do for Marvel, but...*shrugs.*

Not to mention if the Wesker has a really good assist backing him up (like Tron's Flamethrower assist), he pretty much has free reign to continue an offensive onslaught to pressure Phoenix and most likely kill her within the span of a BnB combo.

*shakes his head.*
