It means jack ****, but my college dorm hosted a brawl tournament last Friday. Only scrubs showed up though so it wasn't really fair =[. 3-stocked finals match against a lucas lol. I didn't grab release because I would never hear the end of it.

I made a program for use with "Character Rank Lists" that I'm using for an Australian List.

With a small edit I was also able to use it to read Ankoku's tournament lists. Hence I have a complete copy of a 'so-so' current Character Ranking List.

So here's a digest of Marth. Yay:

August Only: Marth ranked 7th with the third highest amount of 5-8th placements after Meta and Snake.
September Only: Marth failed, ranking 13th over all with no tournament wins. But the second highest amount of 5-8th placements after Meta.

October so far: Ankoku's most updated list has him at 6th. However a couple of tournaments reported in the topic weren't in the list at the time. So including those (that I found) he is currently ranked 7th for October. He has the third highest amount of tournament wins though, after Meta and Snake, and yet again second highest amount of 5-8th placements. This month is looking better for Marth compared to September. And as this is the first month where a slew of tournaments have Meta Knight banned. There is definitely an opportunity for Marth to rise many ranks without Meta there, but the same rings true for many characters.

Over all Marth is ranked 7th from August-Now, but September-Now he is ranked 9th.

Well Shaya these tourneys I was in were held in Melbourne, but they weren't official as in everybody knows about it and goes and it's on the calendar and so forth, they are real organized events (except the last one obviously) but they don''t have much importance on this community. Still, they were good games considering quite a few people showed up who were "good" as in would make it through a few rounds of a proper tourney. I know this because I used to play tourneys in America when I lived there for a short while.

Nah, they aren't run by CAOTIC/Shaz, though I was planning to go to one and see how I fared.
I would like to assert that I did not say myself a very good player, only decent, which can mean a wide range of things. The only small piece of evidence I have is that quite a few pretty good players mainly from the Pika boards have said they find my Marth quite a dominant force even online with lag and so encourage me to continue my offline, saying that it must be pretty good.

But yeah, I'm definitely not in the scope of you guys yet, as when I made my first post here a few months ago I began my learning period, and having mastered much of the basics to Marth am moving in leaps and bounds in the advanced department. So I would say myself competent and possibly able to hold my own, but not much more than that, but hopefully I can change that with a few more months' practice.

EDIT: I have also placed decently in a few online tournaments but I hesitate to mention them as lag is a huge factor... but I have come 7th and 13th in the two online tourneys I've played.
