no both me and inui played snake during the tourney...only those two as far as i know, i didn't see him play anyone else but the placing are accurate

two or three stock m2k...lol thats absurd...he's way to good to get three stocked or maybe even two stocked...i broke his shield in a tournament match however it was with snake...i charged the forward smash to its fullest and i hit his shield, he slid away and then his shield cracked...lol it was so epic because all of florida was backing me...it was such a good match

Ya, Marth has been doing well. I'm still looking for a tourney close to my house to break into the scene with. If any of you know anything about a Chicago tourney that would be greatly appreciated.

i just got second in doubles and singles this past weekend, i also beat afro thundah (best player in florida) in both winners and losers brackets.

unfortunately the only matches that are recorded are the set in which i played snake against a pit player only because his teammate is a really good marth that goes by cloudstealth on smashboards aka (chaz) so to not give him a match he's already very use to i went snake...i'll see if there are any more matches that were recorded in which i played marth

people tell me that i'm better than him but imo he's way better than me, i think he knows marth on a better level than i do thus making him better, people say that i'm the smarter player though...chaz is freaking amazing...he just has to gets used to the bad matchups and pick up a secondary to deal with them is all

Anyways, I did pretty well with Marth I guess considering Chu and Chillin were there. Ali and I teamed and we got 2nd after losing 6 straight matches to them in the gand finals(yes we did knock them into losers, I don't know how now, but they were recorded). In singles, I think I got 5th after losing to Ali(bareeely). It could've gone either way, but there were videos of that also. I almost had him thanks to your help Marth boards. It was mad fun.
Anyways, I did pretty well with Marth I guess considering Chu and Chillin were there. Thanks, but I had to use MK to put them into Losers...I feel bad, but it didn't matter during Grand Finals. The **** was with them.

family issues the day before....But some of my friends went told me that your marth was pretty good. Lol they said you played the exact opposite of me
But when is the next jubilee or another big nc tourny? I'll see if I can make it down. Who knows maybe you could hitch a ride with karn up to va and play up here

Yeah, my Marth is not exactly fun or big on comebacks like yours is(or so I'm told).
Next Jubilee will be next year I think. I haven't heard of any big NC tournies(Jubilee is our only big one right now). I can try to get up to VA(once only according to parents ugh), and only in Norfolk. My thoughts are maybe sometime over Thanksgiving or Christmas break I can get up there eventually. Maybe you can get some VA guys to come back for a NC tournament before then?

i got 3rd out of i think 64 @ gigs (singles), and 2nd out of 32 in doubles...greatness lol i played a marth vs snake in the finals...it was the only match i actually cared about winning just so that other marth mains can see the fight...i fought the best snake in florida and beat him.
How are all of these Marths beating Snake's except me lol. What did you learn/use Hrnut?
Did any of you watch HR vs that snake he posted, that's how you are SUPPOSED to fight Snake. He played patient and smart. If you go all out aggressive vs Snake you will get destroyed and make too many mistakes. He threw a good amount of his grenades back at him and made good use of juggle traps.

I watched the one at Delfino. I honestly should have been 10x as campy when I fought I make bad decisions's Snake.
Well played. Just wondering, would grabbing a grenade and rushing into him and shield it would work to deter consistent grenade usage for at least a while?

Yes, one thing I didn't see him do was run up to him with it with his shield and have it blow up in his face. That's also a good option.
Better. He knows how to play against smarter Marths I'm sure.
