It's still funny to me that people expected Squirtle to be something completely crazy and broken.

I've long said that Squirtle's inherent design is strictly more degenerate than Sonic's and he will have a natural tendency to be either broken or terrible. The alternative to what Squirtle is now is basically

Speaking of Frenulum, I'm surprised more people don't talk about Toon Link being one of the worst characters, if not the absolute worst. What is the reason for that?

I really don't want to explain anything about lucas for certain reasons lol. Like I said, just my personal opinion. I will say though, I play almost every character in the game and I don't think it has anything to do with me maining link, as I think Link destroys Lucas heh. Lucas is one of my best characters as well and that's what I base my opinion on. I will also say I think Lucas is one of the most fun characters in the game and I love his design.

No comment on the sonic question.

I think lucas is really good and all (obviously) but I agree with the link thing. That matchup hurts

This is what I was expecting Squirtle to be. He would be a mini sheik-lucas combo but he is squirtle. I went along with what he is now for a bit, but I am just a bit disappointed overall with what he has turned out to be.

I don't personally think Lucas or Ness are all that great, but they're perfectly fine characters. As for who is better, which is probably going to be the inevitable question...

youre right, since shes overall such a good chararacter and is buffed (even compared to ntsc imo, the bthrow makes her techchase vs fastfallers almost an infinite. also her dthrow is better then in pal,. theyre far from identical). the only thing holding her back in melee imo was that it felt like most matchups wasnt "designed" for her, but theres obv so many more matchups in this game...

people forget the insane potential of this character. hes extremely unexplored and very untiuitive for smash only gamers (alukard please pick this char up)
