I had to pay to take a placement test, because the school counselor said I had to take it, even though I didn't think I had to, only for a different counselor to tell me I didn't have to take the test in the first place.

So my infected finger is less and less sensitive and more numb, feels better but my understanding is that the likelihood of permanent increases with these symptoms. I had to reschedule my doctor's appointment yesterday because of bad luck and incompetent taxi services. Hopefully I can get an appointment for tomorrow.

I may have to wait an additional 3 months to reschedule my driver's test, because with all the drama in my life(and admittedly my own ineptitude) I forgot to reschedule it before the due date. I have no idea how this process works so we'll see.

I saw and killed a roach in the kitchen yesterday. My landlord has been telling me to keep my room clean because he was afraid of getting roaches. While I may have had clothes and empty water bottle on the floor, I did not keep food in my room, so I can't think this is my fault. I think the bread my landlord and his roomate keep in the toaster for days in a more likely culprit. Anyways when he learns of this it will be hell. Hopefully I can get home and vacuum do my laundry before he sees a roach today.

It's subtle but there maybe problems with my job. My supervisor(more like project lead) isn't particularly fond of me. And usually has some harsh criticism for my work. She told me that she has a comment document to send to me/(which will be CC'd to my head supervisor as well), so I could be told that I have to do better.

It's just problem after problem lately.

Okay so what happened yesterday
Venue cancelled on me for a tournament
Midwest regional RAGE. Expecting at least 70 people
It's this weekend. They cancelled Tuesday morning. I had the venue booked months in advance

So I had to rush and find a new venue and we managed to do it<3 yay

I dunno. I try to be realistic about we're we stand in terms of skill (really, really bad), and they get mad at me and say that I have no faith in them. While I try to explain that, while I have faith, I also try to stay realistic, and that pessimism and realism aren't the same thing.

And I'm the only one whose jokes are taken seriously, though perhaps I'm awful at communicating. I'm seriously considering either just going to people's places, not saying ANYTHING, and just playing them, or just not playing anymore.

I'm sooooo tired of studying. When I even think about it my brain says nope. My parents really don't understand that there's a thing called over studying. I'm done studying for a while, I can't take it. 3 hours a day is just too much for me considering i've been doing it the whole summer break along with my job I don't get paid for. I'm just going to fake it for now. -_-

Found out I may need to take a remedial math course for college due to my score on their college's placement test which would set me back one class which I definitely do not want. However, getting some help for it hopefully but still doesn't chill my nerves that I have to get 21 points in order to get in the math class I want that will transfer to my college and I have never been in this situation before.

Gotta study for this bad.

I despise math haha.

I have to take a lot of remedial math classes to get up to the level needed to even take my degree.

It's been 7 years since I took math, since it wasn't required in my last degree.

7 years ago I would have had the level in math required...

Actually isn't as bad as I thought though.

Just 2 math classes. It WOULD have been 3, but I explained to the counselor the situation and how I was once in a lot higher math classes and the counselor agreed to skip one of them. They thought I'd probably be able to remember most of the stuff if I see it again.

2 classes is definitely not the worst and that's good that the counselor understood your situation. I'm just impatient and really want my degree ya know?

I could not for the life of me remember how to do that

That is exactly the problem I had! What is with square roots man? I also forgot everything with regards to pi but that was because I never fully understood that.

Seems we may be math buddies haha. If you ever need help, there is a Math Help thread in this Pool Room that gave me a great resource to study with.

I will never understand why we are forced to do math so much in our educational system. I understand knowing the basics, and perhaps some geometry, but to force the entire population that enters it to do more than what is necessary is a complete waste of time and resources. We need to allow those who don't want to specialize in it the opportunity to just move the **** on. They're just going to dump all of the information out of their head when they are done with the class to begin with. The same applies to other subjects as well. Basically, our potential is crapped on by this "jack of all trades" policy that the world seems to think works, but if you interview the general population, oh my gosh, you'll found out that it doesn't.

I'd give anything to just be able to go to school and learn some philosophy and law. Then I can write a critique treatise on our education system that one or two people will buy. Then I'll die eventually, and people will study it for years.

Ugh, I hate the pain of not being able to sleep. Maybe some calming music or reading something boring/non-interesting may help. Having something warm to drink also sometimes works with some people. Also maybe try laying down a different way?

And strange enough, they do use sleep as a torture device for those who can't sleep and have done so in PoW camps and the like. It really does mess with the mind. Lack of sleep that is.

The Lawyer on this show says people should be judged based only on intent

I'm not sure that, in itself, is really any better. People have committed evil acts believing they were doing good. Does it make what they did right?

Could he mean whether they had the intent to commit the crime or not? Like, someone thought killing person x was good, but since the intent WAS to kill and killing is against the law, he will be judged on that.

I screwed up royally. I cut my foot last night without realizing, and by the time I notice there were already blood stains on the Carpet. My landlord had made it quite clear that he didn't want any stains on the carpet because he'll be charged a lot for it. So I decide to clean it up and I get some bleach from the kitchen. I poor some on the carpet or on the paper towel and I rub the stains quite thoroughly.

I wake up this morning to find that where the stains used to be are now just larger patches of grey. The bleach took away not only the blood but the original carpet color. My landlord is gonna be pissed when he sees this. He likes to inspect the room every now and then so he may have already seen it. And when i get home tonight I may given my 30 days notice and I may have to forfeit my security deposit. If he hasn't seen it however then it means over the weekend I need to look into get some spray-paint or something to remedy this situation.
