The Republican Convention was terrible, I overheard it while I was on the computer and it was just a bunch of broad statements of promises, then saying that Obama made similar promises and failed, and Mitt wouldn't fail, and talked about how this is God's country. You know, despite church and state segregation and freedom of religion, the latter even being mentioned as our strong points. (Obviously we have that, but funny to hear them going on about Bible scriptures, and how us Americans are known for our faiths and how great that is, and then mentioning that).

Also they said Obama has spent more money than any of the presidents prior. I'm not one to spout knowledge on this subject, but I swear I see on Facebook a bunch of posts that show graphs that say otherwise, not sure what to trust here, but if those graphs are true, those statements made by politicians that want to lead our country makes me sad like this :C

I'd rather a plate of spaghetti in office than Obama or Romney anyway.
Bigger, meatier balls.

Er. Chances are, if it's a statistic on Facebook, it was made up by a lonely 12 year old wanting likes.

Yes, I'm sure a 12 year old has the interest and knowledge of high end political economics to make up a deliberately fake graph about presidential spending.

anyways, you don't have to look at graphs to know that Paul Ryan said quite a lot of blatant lies.

http://www.foxnews.com/opinion/2012/08/30/paul-ryans-speech-in-three-words/

when Fox News is calling out a conservative VP hopeful, you know it's flagrant as **** just lying.

Well no, the people who post that stuff are the older crowd, some adults, that constantly post politician stuff, in fact, I use them as my only source of what it is going on out there, partially because of my disinterest, partially because they post so many god damn stuff. Anyone not an adult posts the most mundane and vague bullcrap to the point that I don't resent the wannabe-politicians and thank them for at least trying to inform everyone.

This morning I had a dream that I got really pissed at someone and punched them. Somehow this managed to kill them (I'm scrawny as hell). I don't remember any of the context, but I spent the rest of my dream panicking and trying to escape. I can think of maybe one time in my life when I've been so scared. The sense of fear and panic was absolutely unreal. I can't even describe the kind of mental anguish it was. So much so, that when I realized it was all a dream, the sense of relief was almost enough that I felt happy.

I really hope that this doesn't represent any part of my subconscious self. Unfortunately, that might not be true. I know that guilt affects me way more than a normal person. It's to the point where I could actually call it debilitating.

I also seem to have discovered that the fear I experienced in this dream tops anything else I have ever felt.

Does anyone have any conclusions to draw from this?

I'm not really one to supplant thematic meaning to dreams, as if they were a movie with carefully selected symbolism to reflect my day to day life. I see dreams as more or less a random flurry of images/memories/thoughts that happen to be in your head at the time. I don't think it does much good to psychoanalyze yourself because you had a bad dream. I don't think they "mean" so much, honestly.

But I do empathize with that feeling you describe. I had a dream about my grandfather that was by far the most horrified and scared and just plain desolate I've ever felt in my life.

I had a dream that I think took place right after World War 2

It stared a German man, dressed in stereotypical Bavarian garb and a German Dare Devil traveling to America to try and sell some kind of secret Nazi super science device they found. It turned out to be a teleporter. They wanted to use the money to somehow get revenge on someone who wronged him.

It was a musical too, so it was filled with singing, none of which I can remember.

No one believed him about the device so he decided to set up a show with his dare devil friend. Who turned out to be a coward, up until the moment he put on his mask which somehow gave him the courage to do any stunt. While advertising the show they did a music number where they took a blonde girl from the panel of people they were presenting it to and throw the magic of the musical she became a dancer in a kind of super sexified Bavarian garb. She became a main character after that helping them with their plight.

The dream ended with the stunt show using the teleportation device

Anyone know what that could mean?

I have alot of dreams that have something to do with my current life, but for some reason 90% of the time it's about the bad stuff, and I wake up depressed as hell

I don't mind bad dreams, I usually like scary ones. Mostly because dreams aren't real, and, it's not often I get to run for my life from a murderer. Love scary survival dreams.

So my current situation is this.

I am unhappy where I live. I may or may not get kicked out of the apartment this month. My landlord said he'd give me 2 weeks to get myself organized but if he is unsatisfied then I have to go. I can keep things clean and smelling well, my problem is keeping my own room tidy. I hate that. I pay so much for rent and if I leave some of my clothes on the ground it's a damn problem? He's like a ****ing mom, he wants nothing on the floor, he wants my bed made, all my clothes must either be in the dresser or closet. I'm an adult, that should be my prerogative. But alas, as long as I am living in his apartment it is not. And I know this sounds easy enough but with him wanting my room to be like his it kinda isn't. For example the other day he was complaining about how my clothes was all over the place and I how mix clean clothes with dirty clothes which was just wrong. All of my clothes were in my clothes basket because I had washed them the damn night before and hadn't put them away yet. Some must have fell out of the basket but nothing was dirty, and because of this he doesn't believe I care to keep the place in good order. He doesn't like to listen at all. He draws conclusions quickly and he really can't be convinced otherwise. Heaven forbid I lose something and I take my room apart to find it without putting back everything in it's proper place immediately. I'm too old for this ****.

I was speaking to my friend the other day about opportunity costs. There is no where else I can afford within walking distance of my job, so if I have to leave this apartment I am likely to lose my job. What I could do however is rent an apartment outside of my price range. And stay there until I start driving. The idea being to then get a car, be location flexible and find somewhere cheaper to live. That may take a few months though, and it will be difficult to break even. But I think it's better than the alternative. But to be honest I don't think the alternative is that bad. If I lose my job now, I'll still have some decent unemployment paychecks to work off I'll go live with my aunt for a while(assuming she'll have me) and even though the job market sucks, there is quite a bit of employment to be had in my field(since I took my new job, I have been contacted for two positions even though I haven't applied for anything and I took my resume offline). So I think I'll survive either way, especially since I will at least have my drivers license by then and driving is a big part of my field.

Anyways right now the plan is to keep my room as tidy and my landlord as satisfied as possible. What I am really worried about now though is that two weeks from now my landlord will tell me that he's unsatisfied and I have to go. If I have a month to a move out and find a new place I can probably make that work. If I have two weeks to do it? Then probably not. I guess the only sensible thing to do is to start looking for new places now just in case I do have to move out. I'll also get in contact with my other aunt, just in case I need to her to help me move out(I'll probably have to pay movers to help me out in the end). So if I have to move out I'll be staying somewhere that is too expensive for me but I'll have the whole place to myself(final ****ingly). I'll need to have no extra expenses if I want to break even, and I won't be able to save anything to put towards my car here. But I'll stay with the job at least until I get my drivers license and then I'll have more options available. This is all really bad but even if I wasn't danger of getting kicked out, I am still simply unhappy here(I even dislike the town I am in). I want to leave, so if I have to then it won't feel as if I failed to keep the apartment.

I don't understand/comprehend your apartment situation. What kind of land lord is this, is there something else besides just being untidy?

He's landlord a who lives in the same apartment as me, specifically I am renting a room in his apartment. The only problem right now is my room being untidy(which I don't think is even an accurate statement). Admittedly I haven't been a perfect tenant and I've made mistakes, but the only active problem right now is how tidy and organized my room is..

I think working all the time and never going out with friends, and dealing with angry people all day and having no one treat me nice for the last 2 years is giving me a very bad look on life, and is making me very stressed and angry at everything.

Unfortunately since I started working, most of my friends have moved out away and the group of us basically parted ways

Yes, I am not working on Labor Day because business is closed. If you are going to try to use me as a verbal punching bag that's great, but please note that you cannot make me feel worthless for not working because let me iterate this one more time, MY WORK PLACE IS CLOSED YOU DUMB SMUT.

Long story short my girlfriend wants to get a nipple piercing and I had to talk her out of it. Now I feel like an *** hole because I feel like I'm controlling her but I just REALLY don't like nipple piercings (only piercings I find attractive are ears, nose [occasionally], and the belly button). I generally find any other piercing unattractive and a turn off. I also don't want even more guys staring at my girlfriend's boobs because they're really big... If she was wearing a tight shirt and had the piercings on people would definitely see them.

Was it right for me to talk her out of it? Am I being a bit too selfish?

I never forced her into not doing it I just gave her my opinion about them. She just told me that if I'm not happy about it then she has no reason to do it.

Sounds like overall she's just doing it to impress me so I think I'm sticking with my decision.

Yeah I didn't want her to think I was being controlling or anything because I do care about her feelings and needs a lot. The fact that she doesn't want to do it anymore just because of my own feelings really shows how much she cares about mine as well. :)

If all you did was give her your opinion then there's nothing wrong with that.
This is true, but then I don't get why you asked if that's what you were thinking all along.. \o_o/

I literally typed that first message after I texted her letting her know how I felt about nipple piercings. After her response I didn't feel upset about my decision anymore.

However I do have a new complaint... My leftover frozen pizza is gone!

If there was a rational explanation I wouldn't be mad.
I don't blame you for being mad, criticizing someone for something like that is pretty stupid. But suicide definitely isn't the answer (I know the image was probably a joke but I felt like I should say it anyway).

I hate on most people that were born, raised, whatever with a way better "social and economic status" than when I grew up with. I ****ing hate them and I can't get over it. I know this is a problem though. Sometimes I know that some people can be jerks and looking "down" on others but I dislike "hating" like this.

I really hate being hyper compulsive sometimes. Lately it has been taking away satisfaction from the things I should be enjoying in life and has also started a bad habit on procrastination/study again. It makes me feel like only half of me is in real life at times.

My taxi company bailed this morning. I kept calling but they didn't answer. I was late to work because of it. I guess they're just not as reliable as I thought.

In****ingcredible. Apparently if you post something in the comments section on Marvels' comics it will only get through if it's a positive comment I spent the last 8 minutes or so checking out. I kept writing bad things about marvel comics(nothing vulgar, it was all civilized) and each time the comment ''failed to post'', the minute I change the comment to something good though it goes through without a hitch. ****ing ****ies! Let your fans criticize your work.

Now anyone but me would post this that link in the Happy Thread, but I'm in the practically nonexistent percentile. I'm glad the game is being talked about, and that it is on the 3DS, but then they say that Phoenix Wright is the lead character again. This is where I diverge from everyone else's reaction, who absolutely love hearing that and rejoice in relief.

Don't get me wrong, love the hell out of Phoenix. But are they forgetting that they just made a game called Apollo Justice? Where they introduce a brand new character that you played as, considered the successor of Phoenix? And at the end he talks about how he doesn't know law, but he wants to learn it so he can perhaps one day fight to change it? Now they are going to stop at that point?

In fact, I'll stop on that line of ranting right there, that is actually my smallest gripe. The main issue is that no one likes Apollo, and despite that, I want him in more, nay, because people can't respect him. Largely why he was hated was because his hand was held so much, it was barely an "Apollo" game outside of you playing him. Why not fix this? Use the first as a foundation, use all of the things hinting about his character and capitalize on it, make those people who look at the four installment with abhorrence forgive it because they can look back on it and see it as a transition to Apollo and give purpose to it, and thus stop pretending it is canon (seriously, I see people online who like to pretend it didn't happen, which I can understand partially). Unless Apollo plays a key role throughout this game, AA: AJ will forever be that game that everyone puts at the bottom and some try to forget entirely.

I'm not unhappy really, just disappointed, and hoping Capcom is smart enough to try and fix the problem rather than trying to sweep it under the rug. This is a rare case of listening to your whiny fan base as being a bad idea, because what they are asking for isn't a cure, they are looking for a way to pretend the sickness isn't there; anyone can tell you that instead of regretting a piece of your story, try to make use of it with excellent writing that works off of that previous piece, I'm not even much of a writer and even I can tell you that. We'll see how this game handles this issue as more information comes out.

I understand your disappointment for Apollo, however I am just really happy about another Phoenix game.

On an unhappy note, I am really trying to pay attention in my Astronomy class, but it is dull and I keep getting sleepy. Doesn't help the class is 2+ hours long.

Labs are a lot easier to get through since you're actually doing stuff.

Sitting on your *** for 2+ hours listening to a boring teacher can be torture.
