TIL Eiichiro Oda's birthday is on January 1st. Meaning he turned 50 two days ago.

I know Oda's not perfect as a person but I really respect him as a creator, hope he gets to live a long life beyond this and that he uses this year to take care of himself this year even if it means less One Piece

This cover art goes so unbelievably hard

Stuff like this is among the reasons why I see the Deadly Six as characters with such strong potential and likability value. Wish Sega would actually capitalize on that damn potential...

If they ask if you want a bite, get the hell out of there.

:nifty:
Honestly while I could never get behind rhe whole blood-sucking thing, I could at least respect a vampire who asks for consent
You're 27, that's not young, you should be fine
Maybe not to a fetus like you but to immortal vampires I'm practically a child

I got invited to a local transfem movie night, and it looks like one of the films being considered is about a young trans woman who ends up wrapped up in an all-female vampire cult.

Should...should I be scared?
Damn, get the hell out of there so I can be part of that ****. For real though, hope you have a fun time, but that movie sounds neat so I'd like the title

Bit 2019

Honestly I might not actually go to the movie night, my social anxiety is acting up and the film doesn't actually look like my cup of tea.

Thanks, on the movie night list it goes for me, my cishet friends will probably get weirded out though lol

Sorry to hear that, but it's totally understandable, your comfort goes first here

Wondering if I should maybe join a trans Discord server, I feel like I could probably use some communication with the community aside from my own little bubble and playing online with other people seems like it would be a fun way to voice train. That being said I have severe social anxiety and my country of residence doesn't help things

Have any of you participated in a zoom/MS teams job interview? If so, how was the experience? I’m about to do one in 2 hours.

Rewatched Ant-man and The Wasp

I find it hard to have any strong feelings about this movie, it's not that bad, nothing super notable, even the action, which has a lot of fun size stuff, isn't as memorable as the first. The post-credits scenes are great and pretty eerie, but that is about it.

Shame about Quantumania
It is a real shame that Quantumania did not quite landed expectations and as well as for Kang the Conquerer in which I would had thought had great potential (shame about what the actor did) to set-up what would been for Avengers: Kang Dynasty.

Other than that I really do hope that there will be more of Scott Lang within future MCU films. In addition, I really hope to see more of Shang-Chi too,

I like too much of Disney's work to want to see the entire company fail.

Sure would be nice if more of the executives would stoop making horrible decisions though.
I do believe that a lot of this mess sort of began during Bob Chapek's reign as CEO at the time where he made a load of poor decisions whether this is from the simultaneous releases amongst theatres and Disney+ that led to a court case from Scarlett Johansson, taking away creative control from studios that led to some films and shows not being up to their usual standard in terms of quality, sending a number of Pixar projects straight to Disney+ instead of theaters to his out of touch remark stating that "adults do not watch animation."

There is still quite a lot of work that Disney needs to do at this stage to repair the mess Chapek made, but I think they will find their ground eventually.

The New Year is off on a good start so far. Volunteering at the animal reserve as usual, finding my purpose in life which is helping animals every Wednesday and Saturday.

On top of that, I decided to give Transformers One a shot. Reason I avoided it at first was due to all the bad Transformers movies thanks to Michael Bay as well as how the trailer to the film was which turned me off, but apparently Paramount is just bad at its marketing that I ended up missing what could've been a good experience at the show.

Definitely one of my favorite movies from last year and I'm not even a Transformers fan.

Then my father-in-law invited me for coffee at Tim's and went down this morning, we socialized and talked.

Later going downtown to my local comic shops to see if there are any new Godzilla comics.

I might rank every game I played in 2024. Most of them didn't come out this year mind you, since I went through a lot of my backlog this year which includes a lot of older games.

Would that be something that would interest anyone?
I'll read it and then judge you based on if I played and/or liked the games or not

Tragic news, 3DS Mighty Number 9 preorders are getting cancelled by Amazon

Sure as long as they're not cringe and dumb games like insert your fav

Btw I've been playing a bit of Casette Beasts, it's a Pokemon kinda game but so far it seems real neat, boss theme would have knocked my socks off if I hadn't heard it before

How tragic.

I actually considered buying the Xbox 360 version of the game months ago (it was on sale for a buck). I didn’t go for it.
I remembered a time when there were a lot of interest with Keiji Inafune's kickstarter showing a lot of promise with a load of backers backing Mighty No. 9.

Sadly, those expectations failed to meet after its disastrous final product that made "anime fans cry on prom night."
