So the first 2 new characters for Multiversus have leaked for the next season and…

Kind of bad picks tbh. It’s Aquaman and Lola bunny.

I like Lola and the best version was the looney tunes show version. So if they take from that it be neat, but even so, how is she in this game before Daffy? Especially when they already have 2 other looney tunes reps besides bugs.
I'm surprised Multiversus is still even going on. Lol.

Honestly, I don't think its gonna even last another few years and I'm being generous.

I watched Sonic 3 today, even though I haven't seen the first two. (which, in a weird coincidence, is like how I was introduced to the series; I played Sonic 3 on the PC) I enjoyed it - it was cheesy at times, but a lot of fun, with the inclusion of Live and Learn in the final battle being a definite highlight. (there were other songs from the games in there as well; I caught Green Hill Zone's theme, along with Eggman's ringtone being the opening of his SA2 theme, but going by the credits, Escape From The City was in there and I didn't hear it)

Jim Carrey was clearly having a lot of fun in the role(s), and I find it kind of funny that he's more or less retired but will gladly come back to play Robotnik. The voice actors for Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Shadow did great jobs in their roles (though that's expected from Colleen O'Shaughnessey since she's a professional VA), and it feels surreal to see enjoyable movies based on Mario and Sonic within a few years of each other.

It looks like I need to get a different emulator to play the Dinosaur Planet prototype. What I'm currently using looks much worse than what I'm seeing others playing it on YouTube.

With the Sonic movies going strong and the Mario movie making a billion dollars, I’m surprised we haven’t heard anything else from Pokemon. Detective Pikachu didn’t set the world on fire but it did pretty good.

Weren’t there rumors about a live action Red/Blue project with Netflix? Wonder if that’ll actually happen.
There were rumors after the movie came out about a show. But it was silent since then.

However the Terra leak actually shed some light onto it as well as the next movie.

According to the leaked documents, the live action Netflix show is still something they are actively pursuing. Pretty sure it stated that it’s going to be based on red and blue as well but I could be misremembering there.

Would make sense though because the 30th anniversary is next year and I could totally see them drop the show then as a journey that takes us back to where it all began but in a different style.

Concierges was huge and very highly praised with more episodes coming, so I think that Netflix partnership will continue as they play with different formats and mediums to tell stories in the Pokémon universe.

There’s also a seemingly finished script and potentially production for the next movie, but it was in development hell. With the story now being set in Kanto, around new and three new characters.

So they may also be saving that to drop next year.

Psuedo-legendaries are such an interesting category to me and I really wanted to try and make a memorable one for Purore. So here is my attempt.
Purore Psuedo-Legend.png

Here we get a line that digresses from the usual dragon-type "big lizard" line (though birds ARE technically reptiles...) and truly exemplifies how psuedos start out small then grow insanely powerful. This line is based on the story of the Ugly Duckling, how it became a swan (the love type comes from how swans are monogamous), and how many heroes in this world, both in ancient fables and the modern day, do start out as simple kids who grow into teens trying to make their way in the world. This line starts out as a bullied child made fun of for their appearance, then grows up into a teenager struggling to find and create their own meaning in the wild world of Pokemon. But in the years following its youth, this lonely swan takes flight - in the lore, it finds a partner it grows devoted to (Like how Goomy evolves in the rain, this line evolves when you have another Pokemon in the same egg group in your party). sings powerful songs in their honor (definitely learns Perish Song), and will do anything to protect them - including pull off grand feats of heroism similar to heroes of ancient times, hence its classification.

You bet that this Pokemon is a centerpiece of the champion's team in this region!

Also I don't know how to draw wings oops.

This would make a lot of sense as a 2026 project, they’re definitely gonna go all out for the 30th anniversary.

I almost forgot: There's a Switch 2 rumor that's going around recently from a Chinese Switch forum with a bunch of details

This part might interest you, HyperSomari64 HyperSomari64 :
  • There are some outsourced assets that seem to be for Monolith Soft’s Project X Zone, with Nintendo characters.
    • It is speculated to be a Smash-like concept.

I'm quite doubtful of all of this being real but I thought it was still worth sharing.

How was Spiderman 2? What would you rate it? Also what would you rate Spiderman (2018) and Miles Morales (2020)
SM2 was great as far as gameplay is concerned, but it's also super derivative of the first two games and doesn't do enough to set itself apart from them and can feel a bit repetitive as a result. The story didn't exactly grip me like the first one did either, as I really wasn't a fan of the whole Harry/Venom plotline and Miles didn't feel as important to the narrative as he should have. Still a really solid 8/10 experience though. The simple fun of web swinging and pulling off cool tricks hard carries these games imo.

SM1 is my personal favorite if only for the stronger story but I'd still say it's an 8/10. Miles was also enjoyable but it's way too short and the story wasn't given enough room to breathe, so I'd probably rate it a point lower than the other two.

Here in the Disventure Camp fandom there's a lot of people who hate the character Jake, especially among the people who like Ellie and Gabby the most.

But speaking as a Gabby fan myself, you can't make me hate Jake. Not when he has the most based taste imaginable

Miles game introduced Spider-Cat…that and the soundtrack alone makes it better than the 2nd game

very biased Meow out of 10

One thing I forgot to mention when I gushed about this video in the past was how the starters kind of make a morality triangle.

We have Meganium, the loyal and noble steed of heroic knights. We have Emboar, the villainous fairytale monster who cooks and eats the innocent for kicks. And we have Inteleon, who appears as a morally grey spy with ominous, but not strictly 'evil', powers.

Oh yeah. Since Typergy is the new gimmick of the Purore region, I should clarify. Each Typergy power is stored in powerful Typergy Crystals that can be held by Pokemon with a type corresponding to that Crystal. They are then able to use the Crystal to draw out their inner Typergy and grant them access to their unique Typergy ability.

These are the names of each of the Typergy Crystals...

Normal: Crystal of Normalcy
Fire: Crystal of Magma
Fighting: Crystal of Exertion
Water: Crystal of Oceans
Flying: Crystal of Flight
Grass: Crystal of Nature
Poison: Crystal of Pollution
Electric: Crystal of Lightning
Ground: Crystal of Tectonics
Psychic: Crystal of Kinesis
Rock: Crystal of Ore
Ice: Crystal of Winter
Bug: Crystal of Swarms
Dragon: Crystal of Scales
Ghost: Crystal of Undeath
Dark: Crystal of Shadows
Steel: Crystal of Metal
Fairy: Crystal of Magic
Love: Crystal of Passion

If you need a refresher on how this gimmick works, go click on this quote to be linked back to when I talked about it in fuller detail:
Then there's the idea I haven't discussed enough: Typergy forms. Essentially a series of Mega Evolution-style new forms for certain Pokemon that empower one of their types (removing the other type if there is one), giving them a special ability connected to that type. Here's a run-down:

To the shock of no one, Palafin has once again been banned to Ubers after being tested in OU.
Man I don't keep up with Gen 9 OU but what is going on over there. Darkrai unbanned, Body Press Zamazenta and DD Kyurem running free. Deoxys-Speed is UU. And now Palafin was even worth being considered?

Can't wait for Gen 10 OU where they drop Mewtwo down to OU so they can have more fast checks for the new OU staple Skiboilet.

I'll give it a 20% chance that we'll officially see the Switch 2 this week.

I'm not making anymore bets afterwards if I'm wrong.

More Pokemon Love type competitive theorycrafting!

It just occurred to me that since I made my Love type immune to Dark type, it would essentially completely stop Incineroar. It sees big use due to its moves like Throat Chop, Darkest Lariat and Parting Shot in conjunction with the Intimidate hidden ability. Love type, however, COMPLETELY walls out these popular moves, leaving the only real options Incineroar has to deal with these hard counters as the non-STAB Leech Life and U-Turn. Intimidate COULD still be a problem in conjunction with U-Turn, but chances are there will be Love types who use their special stat for damage and don't care if they lose physical damage potential. And if they're faster (which isn't hard, speed isn't Incineroar's strong suit) or can make good use of Trick Room...the poor wrestler cat is pretty much screwed.

Incineroar would undeniably still have use, but Love being able to hard-counter its iconic Dark-type moves and hit it hard for super-effective damage would be a huge blow to its standing as the Best Pokemon Ever right now.

As for the starter Pokemon who would probably benefit most from the Love type's addition, I'm gonna say Venusaur. Yeah Delphox is immune to Love, but Venusaur has always had a lot more to work with competitively, and it'd see a new reason to utilize its Poison typing both offensively AND defensively. Using tools like Sludge Bomb and the Toxic-Venoshock combo, it can remove Love types from the field pretty easily while not having to worry about their damage potential.

All the Bulbasaur truthers would be WINNING with this development. :001:
