Iirc like, half of all anime that ever came out is between now and the 2010's so it could be like, more time and thought put in to it. I also find something very charming with how a lot of older shows looked, the technology wasn't there yet but it's like the... imperfections for lack of a better word add to the beauty

I don't know if the Yu Yu Hakusho OP is necessarily better than modern anime OPs in my opinion, but something about it does hit different I agree

And the EDs are actual god tier. Every single one of them is so good

I feel like a lot of that is due to the color pallet and the shading. I'm not gonna say that modern anime animation is bad (far from it) but I feel like things were lost in translation when it went all digital and HD.

Pikmin 4 third area spoilers:
I have defeated the Waterwraith and obtained Wave Race for the Nintendo Gamecube! He squashed almost half of my Pikmin so I rewound time, and he still squashed 20 after that. They recreated the cave from Pikmin 2 with some new enemies, was pretty cool. Nice to see the pipe I hid in out of fear when I first played Pikmin 2 as a kid.

Thematically it feels very similar to the Barbie movie funny enough but just. Wow.
