So, working on a small little project, and I need some help. I y'all's opinions, what are some of the weirdest video game crossovers?

LEGO Dimensions was an underrated one.

It had Sonic, Chell from Portal 2, the Ghostbusters, the characters from the LEGO Movie, Marty McFly, Michael Knight from Knight Rider, the A-Team, the Goonies, Finn and Jake, the Powerpuff Girls, E.T., Harry Potter and many more.

Look It up, it's all true.

Frankly I just love it because these four I mentioned are, like, the single most ****posty combination of guest characters ever

Sometimes I wonder if Disney needed to be okay with it in order for the TF2 classes to be a racer alongside Ralph. Wreck-It Ralph has a Kano-like character, but even with them going to WB Games to license Tapper they didn't license Mortal Kombat so they called him "Cyborg" and changed a few things. Still rips a heart out though.

Ok so let's try this one more time, and share my idea for one of the possible many products for the anniversary of the Donkey Kong arcade game. Bear with me on this one.

2020 was the anniversary of the Super Mario Bros series, and with It one of the most products to celebrate It released: a Game & Watch device which included the original Super Mario Bros, Super Mario Bros 2 and the Game & Watch title Ball all with an internal clock and a lot of hidden secrets.

This year It will be the anniversary of the original Donkey Kong arcade Game, and one really interesting thing about the original arcade trilogy is that they all got demakes in the form of Game & Watch devices back in the day, which happened to be some of the most popular ones.

Now here's my idea: what if this year, as one of the many possible things to celebrate the anniversary, Nintendo released a new Game & Watch device including not just the original arcade trilogy but also their original Game & Watch demakes?

It would be a harmless product, and would interest collectors as rereleases of the original arcade titles aren't as common as the Super Mario Bros ports (and most of the ports we tend to get are of the NES versions). I could also picture many little details for the internal clock such as Pauline coming out to sing an 8-bit version of Jump Up Superstar or the Minis from Mario vs Donkey Kong being the ones changing the numbers with hammers.

So yeah, what do ya'll think of this idea?

I like it! It’s kind of small but it’s also really neat! Would love it as part of a larger celebration of DK as a whole.

Of course something All-Stars Racing-related is gonna come to my mind first after I had just talked about it, but it's worth talking about Transformed's four horsemen of the apocalypse: Danica Patrick, Yogscast, Wreck-it Ralph and Team Fortress

On another note, remember when they crossed Mario over with ****ing Puzzles and Dragons of all things

I’d honestly be up for all of them returning. Except Yogscast. Replace him with SomecallmeJohnny. He would love that.

Hey, if Marvel counts, so does this.

For a more serious answer, most of what came to mind has already been mentioned. Though I suppose you could add Soul Calibur to the mix, especially with the Star Wars cast. Honorable mention to the Wii spin-off though, which had Lloyd from Tales of Symphonia.

There's also Fortnite with their constant events if you wanna count that.

If youre looking for enemy based references there's Revenge of Shinobi which had enemies based on pop culture stuff, like Batman and Godzilla. Same with the Japanese prototype of Monster Party of the NES/FC. Also Alex Kidd in Shinobi World had an enemy based blatantly on Mario and Shinobi.

So I just got back from getting tested for Covid and it came back negative somehow. This is a few days after my sister, who I currently live with, got tested positive.

My guess is that I did have Covid, but since tested was such a hassal for me I just ended up recovering for it before I got formally tested. Either that or I just coincidently got a common cold at the same time my sister came down with Covid, and I just never caught it from her despite living in the same tiny apartment as her.

Started 2021 off by watching a film called DOA: Dead or Alive and here is my review:

DOA: Dead or Alive is a live-action film based upon the Dead or Alive video game franchise and directed by Corey Yuen which was released back in 2006. The film revolves around a group of martial artists particpating in the Dead or Alive tournament hosted by Victor Donovan within a remote island to determine who will win the ultimate prize money.

The cast include Devon Aoki as Kasumi, Jaime Pressly as Tina Armstrong, Sarah Carter as Helena Douglas, Natassia Mathe as Ayane as well as the likes of former Neighbours star Holly Valance as Christie and Kane Kosugi who is very well known as Jiraiya in Ninja Sentai Kakuranger in the 90's.

Overall, whilst it does have a lot of bad fight scenes, the film's questionable plot, story, poor effects and characters drifted way off from the source which ended up being quite cheesy and ridiculous. As for the actors/actresses. Only Jaime Pressly and Holly Valance stood out whilst Devon Aoki's performance as the runaway princess ninja Kasumi was very wooden and stiff.

Rating: 3.5/10
