I came in dual maining, lol. Marth and Falcon. As for the whole mid tier thing, some people just want to stick with who they like. Believe me, I've tried everyone in high to mid-high and I find Sheik the most enjoyable.

I'd probably play Pika if I played a high tier, but recognize he's not for me.

@Mav. I'm not going to lie, I always considered West PA the Midwest and was confused as to why we didn't get PA and didn't go there in return.

Have not played Kain. Have 2 stocked Holms and beat Seagull man.

Wolf is Wolf. You can't tell me that if Kain played a better character that he wouldn't be better. And if Kain is that good, why doesn't he place at nationals? No one from the other coasts mentions Kain when talking about top contenders. Lain and Shugo are the only two that fit the bill.

Peach is bad.

Rob is bad.

Sonic is bad.

All of these characters inhibit their players from exceeding expectations.

Kain has tried Falco, and actually did worse.

Also, Kain has beaten Lain, who plays better characters. There's no denying his skill level, and he's able to do amazing things with the character, which I don't think you understand that Wolf ISN'T as bad as you're saying.

If Kain put 1/10 the effort of his wolf into Falco he would be 2-3x better.

Kain is good. His character is bad. No amount of furry porn can change that.

:rob: could be good if :metaknight: was banned. It's quite funny and sad how :metaknight: holds :rob: back so much.

I also have never seen Kain at any national (Unless Mlg Columbus counted as one) because he is stuck in Illinois, which is far away from most nationals. Though he's trying to go to Apex~. He places consistently/well at Midwest regionals/locals, which should count for something. Nationals tend to have a ton of :metaknight: as top 8 with few other characters there like :diddy: I guess.

Among the Ec, I've heard people talk about Kain when they refer to the midwest. Kain, Shugo, and Lain are the most common names I hear around these parts.

If I recall correctly, Kain played all :falco: for one tourney and won it. Ask him though. I don't know.

:falco: wouldn't make a person much better if they use :wolf:. All it does is switch their bad matchups back to :pikachu2: and then :popo: is added into the equation. :wolf: trades :wario: and :dedede: for :pikachu2: and :popo:. If he wanted a better character then he'd use :metaknight: or :diddy: (:metaknight: preferably for obvious reasons).

Also, :metaknight: doesn't make one too much better unless the character they use is already low tier/low-mid tier/marth (Unless they play super gay/never approach/timeoutsalldayerday).

IMO Michigan has always been way too biased toward itself. They're like Jersey of the MW.

If you guys were around in 08, you know what I'm talking about. Anther was the only REAL contender and EVERYONE in MI except Anther **** talked like they were number one. OS won 10 tournaments in a row; including MI tournaments with Anther in them. Didn't matter, it was still all about Anther giving the rest of MI the illusion that ALL of them were the best.
Kel, I'd like to politely point out that THE Needle of Juntahh mercilesly beat you and OS's *** over and over again as well for about a year straight. We had more then Anther, just like you guys have more then Shugo.

Also, I didn't realize having the best record and winning the most tournaments ACROSS THE BOARD didn't count as being the best. Ah well.

I'm not trying to start any arguments, just stating the facts. I'm noticing this slight boost in competitivesness lately, and I'd like it to keep going :]

Okay, I think I'm going to start practicing again. Haven't practiced in like 6 months. I have a goal that I wanna reach. I'm going to be number 1 in Ohio before we move to Texas. Honestly I woke up and told myself I wanna get better. And not because of all the things that have been going recently. It's a personal desire. So its time to.get back into the hyperbolic time chamber ascend to a level I know I'm capable of once I finish reading fairytale of course... Shugo and Kel no more positive records against me cause I'm.coming for you both. I challenge anyone to stop me...

I know it really hasn't been a focal point here recently, but if you guys do decide to update this soon I'd be glad to help as an OoS panelist. I'm on PA's panel plus I've encountered MW players at every tourney I've been to this Summer. You would have to tell me how you determine your rankings though, since it might be different from PA's current system. Currently, PA's system is as follows:

-Activity requirement=3 tourneys
-Rankings determined by strength of wins weakness of losses
-Wins count more than losses. Essentially losses only come into play if two players are very close in wins
-MMs do not count. They used to count though. When they did, it was a $5 minimum, and they were worth less than tournament wins.

I've actually been pondering if mms should count or not. It would have to at least be a minimum of $10 though, and still count less than tournament wins/losses. Thoughts?

From a PA perspective: The 2 main reasons we stopped making mms count were:

1. The main purpose of the PR is to rank your "threat level" in tournament play. mms don't occur in brackets, so it really defeated the purpose.

2.The bickering caused by how much mms should count next to bracket wins caused major headaches.

It'll be updated when it get's updated!

My thoughts on MMs:
if it was 5 bucks or more
Was against a player form a diff region (Like KB vs Polt)
Used characters that would be used in tourne play. (With exceptions to very low tier characters, like Link or Fonz)

Real talk we went to some liquor stores in Sharonville and we got gyped...42 proof liquor...man .. a handle of that is like giving me a shot of Arbor Mist.

MI (Gio and I) will drink any state under the table. Blindfolded. With our hands tied behind our back. Upside down. With an empty stomach.
