Are you guys considering past rankings/records in your updates as well. If so then it makes sense to me. If not then I feel like your list is a bit off. But then again I'm a panelist for MI not OH so my opinion doesn't matter lol.
I WILL say this:
Tako should be at least 5 for taking out the store manager at Windjammers at SIIS5

What the hell are you talking about it!? I would never do anything like rig my placings just to be at the top. EVERYONE on the Panelist came to that conclusion... don't come at me like it was my doing.
We damn near went even this entire time. I believe I beat you 3 or 4 times in a row earlier on. You have recent wins over me like 3 or four times. After that it boiled down to placings of WHO you beat. Like top players from other regions and such. I know I beat Shugo even though he always comes back and wins tournaments. When the last time you did that? I know I beat Lain when the last time you did that?
I can't speak for everyone on the panelist. But I pay attention to EVERYONE in Ohio not just top players. MX is a good player but only did well at a tournament that was a MK banned one. Lumi has been putting in work, and so has Sneaky. I didn't have KB on my list for the PR because he did Horrible throughout the entire season. Scribbs and Fizzle shouldn't be on the list, Cause they only went to SiiS5 and didn't do anything major.
Give me a name and I could go to my notes and tell you why they weren't on the Rankings or so. I love the God Kais, Kel and Majority of Ohio and I want some players to win over others but I am the furthest thing from Biased. I even considered myself to be 5th at one point in time until I did the research.
And how about this, I'm not going to be a Panelist anymore. I'll step down. I honestly want to be the best in OH but if being a panelist will make it seem shady (even though its a GROUP decision that decided the outcome) then I'd rather not be apart of that.
And depending on who is a panelist will decide if I take the list seriously or not. I feel as if the truly knowledgeable and unbiased players have dwindled down to a handful.

Never said he didn't beat Lain... And that tournament would be taking into consideration for the next PR.

Please understand you guys...this season was longer than it should have been (our own fault of course), attendance/performance levels of a lot of people have fluctuated significantly, and it was admittedly not the best possible job that could have been done this time around. Of course there are going to be questionable additions/subtractions to the list, but the main goal was to at least get a decent enough list out so we can have something to punctually work off of from now on.
I understand that you guys may disagree with some things on this list, and I don't blame you. I'll be giving 110% from now on to make sure this gets consistently updated the way it was meant to, that way everything can run as smoothly and accurately as possible.

Kassandra is going to be a part of Kentucky's PR while Kel has chosen to be on Ohio's if I remember correctly.

Trust me, some of us have been wanting to bring a couple more people on board, but were also hesitant because of possible bias and people having way too many knee-jerk reactions to more recent player accomplishments.

That, I can understand because we have somewhat of the same thing here when an "underdog" beats someone and its all of a sudden becomes "Player X for PR, he beat Player Y that one time in pools!" or something along those lines.

A bigger question than MX is... where the **** is Argent? No offense to Sneaky through Lumi who have all been doing work, I don't have results in front of me, but I've been under the impression that Argent has been doing as much if not more than either for a longer span of time.
As for bias, hype, inexperience and all that nice and tingly bull**** on the part of others being a panelist, I think with the people those of you who want to recommend for the PR panel and those who might want to be a part of the panel (like myself for instance) could be trained.
No matter the hype and recent esteem, results will dictate who deserves to be where. As much as MX is my boy, we both know he doesn't travel enough, so he doesn't hit the criteria for the PR. This is also backed by results... or lack of for him.
Even though everyone knows how talented he is.

^I agree with that, but I think he was excluded because he is moving out of Ohio.

You also can't downplay that "he only did well at a MK banned tourney". How many MK mains were even there? I recall 2.
Edit: And yeah, where is Argent in this update? He's been putting in work.

He ran into Kel in semis though. Regardless though he would've at least placed 5th.
As for Y.b.M., he is on the PR because he is moving at the end of the year, not in the next few weeks. Don't get me wrong though, I feel like Argent definitely deserves a spot on our PR if he's staying in OH.

Yeah, the more I think about it.... where is Argent?!?! LOL Kel isn't in Ohio anymore but he's on the PR. Argent is *still* in Ohio. Maybe he hasn't done enough. maybe he got looked over.

Yes Austin, there will be some recruitment going on soon. It will be at our own discretion.
People need to relax about the people who are leaving thing. Y.b.M. is still here for a little while (easily into the next ranking period), Argent is leaving very soon (within weeks) so be real about it, and what's this about MX leaving as well?
Why would we fill spots with people who aren't going to be around in the near future?

Because you are ranking people based on past accomplishments. The PR list is the top 10+HMs of Ohio from the time period between 1/1/11 and 8/1/11 (Or whatever your season was).
By this reasoning Y.b.M. should not be ranked after this list.

Wrong, we ranked people as best as we could while considering this entire season as well as what people have done recently. We didn't expect it to last this long (and subsequently make everything that much more difficult), but unfortunately it did.
About Y.b.M...of course we can rank him on the next list as long as he's still around and participates in tournaments, it would be asinine not to. It's the list after that where we wouldn't be able to rank him because he'll be gone.

So what's the reasoning to not rank Argent. He clearly participated in this last season.

I believe its THIS statement people are having an issue with. I have no idea what ArgentStew did this season but if he participated enough and did enough work to become Power Ranked, then he should be PRed. Essentially saying that though Argent was active this season, he can't be PRed this season because he's leaving yet making that exception for Y.b.M. looks REALLY biased. Once again, I have no idea what Argent did this season though so if he didn't actually do as much work as the rest then its whatever and he shouldn't be PRed. But if he is, then if you're willing to let Y.b.M. be ranked next season though you know he will be leaving after the next list, then Argent should get the same treatment.
Also with that logic, it really should not matter when either player is leaving if they could not be considered eligible for the season after they leave.

I can't really answer that on my own. I personally voted to have Lumi as an HM, Y.b.M. had no HMs, and Kel was sort of undecided on HMs besides Lumi by the looks of it.
