I don't have the attention span for them nowadays unless the games are really quick like Call of Duty or Smash. Really, I only enjoy playing against other people online/offline, no story/career/challenge modes. I used to love RPG's, but I just can't get into them anymore.

I probably could if there were more that were like Pokemon, FF7-10, Suikoden, and Star Wars Knights of the Old republic

I'm the same way Q!

I keep thinking "man, it'd be fun to play this (single player game) again..." or I see an ad and I'm like "I'm gonna buy that!"

Then I start to play it and i get bored immediately because there is no challenge. Ugh.

OS, have you played Fallout 2 or Psychonauts? Both of those are fun and are pretty challenging (although I admit the difficulty curve for both is kind of wonky and it quickly goes back and forth from ridiculously easy to impossibly hard).

Baten Kaidos was pretty cool (the first one. It too has a wonky difficulty curve though.) too.

Oh, and if you play DS at all, The World Ends with You is pretty amazing, and since the difficulty is customizable (in such a way that it actually does make a difference, and you get higher rewards for higher difficulty settings), it keeps you challenged most of the time. Also, some of those bosses are ridiculous, especially the optional ones.

I played Psychonauts, got bored with it, then stopped. Played Fallout 3, got into it for a bit, then maxed out at level 20 right when I met the Dad figure in the game. I stopped playing at that point because... why keep playing? No more levels = no more progress = boring.

I'll agree, Fallout 3 was way too easy (Fallout 1 was too in fact), hence why I recomend Fallout 2 (and while it's so old that the 'huge' installation is 600 something MB, it's probably one of my favorite games ever, and while I played through it like 12 times, it's one of the few games I've never beat since the last boss is so stupid hard.). It plays very differently from Fallout 3 though.

Recently, the only games I've gotten into (by this I mean actually playing for more than 10 minutes at a time) in the last 4 years are:

Jump! Ultimate Stars, Phoenix Wright, Katamari series, Fable, and Call of Duty.

I'm in diamond league now, got up pretty high in it but then I had to play several Terran in a row... they're busted right now vs. Z. Now I'm still playing a bunch of diamond players, but every time I win a few, they make me play several Terran players in a row. It's pretty disheartening, just waitin' on a patch now.

You can't really be "28-2" in Diamond League, unless Dr. X tracked Anther's individual games. It doesn't record your league games.


What is Anther's tag?

I just got promoted to platinum (even though my placement matches I was 4-1.... my friend got into platinum right off the bat with the same record.)

My TvZ blows.... lolz

If you're T and you are losing to Z, you need to liquipedia that **** up.

You can do practically anything. 1-1-1. Quad rax. Dual rax fast expo to octo rax. Mech. Bioball bunker push with one tank. Fast tech to Thor, then bunker push out of your own base and expand. Harass with hellions. Banshee rush. Fast tech to dual reactor starports save money and spam vikings, go overlord hunting and keep the zerg pinned in their base (then do whatever you want). MMM. Hell, NUKE RUSH works vs. Zerg D:

Are Zergs THAT bad, or did they just not finish balancing the races?

(I don't have a working comp atm so no SC2 :( )

top 10 for most tournaments hold 1 zerg. One held two if I recall. Then it's like 2-4 protoss and the rest are terran.

TvZ is mad easy. TvP is STUPID hard. all they gotta do is rush void ray and ggs. They can afford to make mistakes all day but if I screw up my emp like one time I get my *** handed to me. I gotta play close to perfect to beat a good P.

TvP is pretty ridiculous for T there too. Bioball fast expo = outmacro protoss forevar


but it is winnable

it would be if any of us played each other on a regular basis anyway. i need to get back on and play but working 5 12-16 hour shifts during the week kinda puts a damper on that

Working there 8 hours shifts, two 3 hour class periods, one 5 hour class starting at 9 and ending at one, with work at two, spending an extra 2 on the bus, and another 2 walking to/from bus makes me want to even think about anything unless it's a bed

I work a full work week M-F with no vacation days or sick days, spend every other day (literally) at minimum with my girlfriend, and still play lots of starcraft.

The secret is hearing your girlfriend say "You should play starcraft and explain to me what's going on"
