Ok, so I made a lot of ******** ledge choices in all of these matches, but I'm learning more about which choices are the REALLY bad ones. In some parts you'll see me miss a punish or two, and I swear I Zaired or Dsmashed but y'know, controller johns or something like that.

Also, I have a couple questions about how to edgeguard with Link.

What projectiles do I use?
Which aerials?
How? (lol)

I'm posting this in the video thread and in a new thread so I can get critiques. :)

-Arrows, never bombs or boomerangs
-Nair gimps, bair stage spikes, floaty dairs
-Nair gimps are the easiest, just make sure you don't hit them in the first few frames. Bair stage spikes are really good for tether recoveries (you need to FF it so you get the second kick). I was never good at landing floaty dairs

Oh I've landed some sexy floaty Dairs.

Most of the times I screw up and end up fastfalling it.
It's a bad habit.
What I like to do is if they're coming up from the ledge Double Full Hop a Dair and get right in the jump trajectory of the "jump from ledge" and it almost always gets a kill.

em sasook there is so much more to links edgeguarding game than that. also both rang and bombs CAN be useful when edgeguarding, like double bomb uthrow to create a wall against high recovering characters. FJ bomb drop > DJ dair is one sexy edgeguard invented by Deva if I remember correctly. Dair is great for ledge pressure. zair edgeguard when you hugged to early. rang is great if correctly thrown(always a bit above the opponent or when you are very close, but not close enough for a nair). Even jab is sometimes a perfect edgeguard(first only) the ones Im thinking of is spacies and Zelda.

Link has a great edgeguard but there is much to learn and it is very characterspecific, like multijumpers arrows is the thing but against say Ike you should use zair edgeguarding and a correect thrown rang.

From what I can see, looks like you need to work on spacing. Link's a terrible character anyway.

Wow this discussion is old but sassy, bombs are pretty good for edgeguarding. They keep them in the air longer, setting up for a nair gimp or an arrow. Plus, there's always running off the ledge, throw the bomb, nair :p Also rang is ok, but situational. Never use it when they are too far out, maybe when they are the length apart from the side platform on Yoshi's Island (Brawl) and the stage.

Haha yeah, offline friendlies with who is prolly the 2nd best in my town. The one video where I lost was the only loss in all of like... 4 hours that we played. I was more scared of my sister atm for how **** hard she smacked him /j0|\|z xD Of course he uploaded it first. lol.

There are MANY more to come though, so I'll pick out which ones aren't a waste of you guys' time and post 'em here.

I'm really sorry about the mix up Fear. :(

There are a lot of new Deva and Legan videos floating around on the Link boards right now so I'll try and start working on an update to include those as well as Arkive & Legan's epic dittos. School and work has got me tied down pretty hard right now and whatever free time i've got I'm either sleeping, eating, or doing nothing. ;D

But yeah, thanks for the videos guys. Keep em coming.

Dont worry Ardes, you did one hell of a job with the last update to complain about something so little.

If you're updating though, could you fix it?

I was just dipping threw some old matches on here and I had a pretty good idea for this thread...

You have a Green Rupee next to the name of top tier Links matches? Makes sense to show people that this match is definitely MONEY to watch. Worth it in other words.

What if you made that Rupee into a Red Rupee instead for top Links.
Then put maybe a Blue Rupee for very high end Links but not quite as world famous as the Red rupee guys matches to add some more diversity. Green rupees can either go to nobody, everybody not in the above tiers or to the next tier of Link players below Blue Rupee. One of those.

I think it would be pretty good to sort them out like that.
