You need to fast fall your SHL's, they seem to always miss when you're firing them as you are. Your Dairs sould be shuffled aswell, a full jump dair is easy to avoid, falco is a pressure character, so fast constant attacking is the way to go. Just practice your pillaring.

Also be a bit more creative when you recover, phantasming onto the ledge all the time is easily punishable.

As for the fox player, he wastes way too much time trying to go for tricky low% kills while you're at high %. Forget shine spiking when someone's at 135% lol they should have been Usmashed a long time ago.

Lasers need to be fastfalled
Dairs need to be shffled
Practice shffling dairs into waveshines, whenever
Also, avoid using d-throw, especially against fox... U throw to bair or whatever

Seriously whenever you have free time just practice shffling dairs into waveshines, once you get it down, your game has an ok basis, especially against fox.

Overall, once you get fastfalling, shffling, and wavedashing down your falco's speed will become much faster... FOOM!

I'd say practice pillaring and then waveshining. Waveshining is great for comboing fastfallers, but shield pressure should be learned first, IMHO.

I only watched the first one, but I can already tell that the only thing running through your head is "insert laser" "insert pillar/shine" "insert kill move"

You need to expand everything you know into more of everything else.

Please give me more concrete advice.

If you're saying to "mix it up" then I already use every single one of Falco's moves in different situations and different variations. There is only so much one can deviate from bread and butter combos/strategies.

No I was just being drunk lol. I'm actually terrible at noticing things in videos and giving real advice, I really don't know what I can tell you. Other then play people your own level to improve, get ***** by people better then you. And watch lots and lots of videos.

Well it's what I did, except I didn't have that many people my level and most of my friends were already really good so I just kept getting 2 and 3 stocked until I learned.

I've been playing with people of all levels for an upwards of two years, and this is only as far as I've progressed. What else can I possibly do?

I hate watching Peach vs. Falco, so I didn't bother watching those vids ^^

Vs. Falcon: Your tech-skill seems to be pretty good. You hit most of your waveshines and your pillaring seems fine. However, you seem to make quite a few mistakes with simple things like SHLing. I don't have much to say about that except play more and don't **** up so much, lolz.

I notice that you missed a lot of techs, and doing so against Falcon elicits a knee to the face (vs. a good falcon). When you do tech, it seems like you ALWAYS tech in place. I know it's impossible to be random, but try to mix it up. Against a better Falcon you'd get tech-chased to stomp/boost-knee *****.

Another thing I noticed was a lack of Bair edge-guarding. You often go for a ledge-hopped Dair and miss, when a bair would've killed him. Just do it!

Spacefalcon is right. Mix it up more! Falco's DD isn't bad, so use it every once in a while. I saw you laser to grab, but do it more often instead of just pillaring. Lasers are good, but don't become too dependent on them. I realize this may not be possible for whatever reason, but playing better players would definitely help. Your current opponents aren't really bad or anything, but they definitely don't punish you enough.

Overall you have a good Falco, so keep up the good work and stuffz.

That Falcon isn't very good. I play much differently against better Falcon players.

I DO Bair off the edge. ALOT.

Really, you should have watched the Peach videos, since the Peach player is significantly better.

Also in this match, it was pretty obvious when the fox was gonna illusion onto the stage, and i saw you just full jump, let him on, then come down with a bair. You should just fsmash his ***, or if you don't think you have enough time, f-tilt. They work wonders. You can also grab him out of it, but usually a fsmash is the better option, depends on time and %s

edit; Also, don't ever downthrow a fox, if you do that against a competent fox, you're basically giving them a free grab.

Excellent handling of your Falco. You know your character well/in depth but don't know the type of character influence Falco has on your MINDSET =) .

Falco players have alot of priority; your abusing your priority by being aggressive with lasers dairs to DownB(cause and effect);stop to being aggressive(no one enjoys aggressive players if they don't see combos and neither would you =) ) .

Pick a low-tier character and feel the difference of us low-tier mains for a bit; make sure your opponent is high-tier and don't get frustrated enough to act like your FALCO just because your getting *****.

You need a variety of FOLLOW UPS...you need to incorporate
ex:laser to d-tilt(tip of Falcos feathers so you don't get grabbed) , laser to grab, laser to d-air to downB to B-air(more of these).

Your wanting mind games at the early %s of damage; you go right to work/being aggressive and get punished/will be punished because your predictable.

-(YOU ARE ONLY INCLINED TO MINDGAMES AT THE END OF MATCHES BECAUSE OF THERE %DAMAGE IS HIGH AS YOURS AND IT'S THE LAST STOCK(SUSPENSE); DON'T LET THIS TYPE OF CIRCUMSTANCE GET TO YOU WITHOUT KNOWING AND DON'T LET IT BE AT THIS POINT WHEN YOU ARE SUPPOSE TO USE MINDGAMES...)

WELCOME BACK TO MELEE.

I'm working on it. When you play the same person over and over your options become limited.
meh, i find playing the same person gives you chances to experiement and throw him off.

example my friend was shocked when i combo'd with upsmash as Doc the other day just because i never use it.

mixing it up against your regulars is easier becuase they think they know you well.

lol, I wonder how matches against each other would look like now, after not playing each other for so long.
I can assure you, though; they definitely won't be as crappy as those anymore, heh. ;)

basically learn to double shine without leaving the ground. and use it evrytime the opponent shield because there is a chance to shield stab and after the double shine, you can just use the full full into a dair.

whenever i approach someone with a shine, i always do a quick jump before shining because then you can quickly jump out of it into a Dair or Bair and prevent shielf grabbing.

and try to use falcos 'momentum' more
like when lasering use running and retreating lasers, and try not to stay in hte same place.
and when you use dairs run and use it so you have a better reach.

when your near the edge. learn to drop off the stage and do a double laser back onto the stage to just stop opponent doing an attack and if theyre close enough, you can put a side smash to finish them off as they are still being stunned by lasers.

you should use extra more lasers against characters with no projectiles as that is an advantage

last bits.
-try not to forward B (lol i used to suicide alot with that)
-and get in hte habit of knowing your direction after a jump. to prevent Fairs instead of Bairs

practice makes perfect :]

No offense but that is the lamest excuse I have ever heard. I live on a small island and I practically play only one person too. Nevertheless I have become a pretty solid smasher, despite my location. So please, stop making excuses about playing only one foe. That one person can take you a long way if you want it bad enough...

I hope you do get to go Genesis, though.

I plan on it. I probably won't be playing Falco in the event though. I figure I'll have better luck with Fox or Jigglypuff.
