Never really attempted a speed run before, simply because I know I would never be able to do all the glitches correctly. I have seen some impressive ones on youtube such as this one: 1:16:54 time though. It's pretty amazing to me how people can get glitches to work so perfectly to finish the game in just over an hour. It's impressive to watch, to say the least.

I mean, you could enjoy the game the first few ways through and then speed run to look like a boss.

hey, i have a question...

i mentioned before, in the "is time for demostrating your love for the saga" threat, than i have 4 stories, one of those is about Ganondorf, here i explain how ganondorf come out for his prision in the Evil realm and how he, with a new powerfull armor, try to have his revenge.

my question is, if Ganon was sealed in the Adult time line... what happen with Ganondorf in the child time line?

Link never removes the Master Sword, so Ganon never gets the Triforcr of Power. Obviously, Ganon couldn't really do much then. Ganon doesn't get sealed though so that's why he's just chilling when Wind Waker later happens.

True, but even w/o Link removing the master sowrd, Ganondorf by that time, has already attacked the castle, Zelda ran away with Impa and there's even an almost dead soldier around the market.

An alternative story is possible in that missing piece of story.

But, how is than TP Ganondorf have it? if TP Ganondorf have it is because his ancestor, OoT Ganondorf stole it. Also if you see the hand of young Link in the last part of the ending, he have the triforce of courage.

and wind waker come from the adult time story, so trhat Ganondorf was sealed first.

This is my problem

My stories are after OoT, and took place in the Child time line

My first story is about young Link. how he return to hyrule after find navi, exactly 1 year later, and how he learn new skills for Impa, the Gorons and the Zoras.

The second is in his teenage, he have 15 years old, with great abilities, and powerfull weapons (Firce dety mask, grart fairy sword, Zora goron deku mask, all the weapons than he found in termina) he fight agains the shadow of hyrule, enemies than want the light world

the third story is about Adult Link, he have 21, and now he is all a master. Ganondorf is back from the Evil realm with a new armor, and now he have the power for conquer, with only a hand, all hyrule. Impa tell Zelda than she must escape with the ocarina and go to a far away village, were live a Sheikan. Link, after to fight with some monster than Ganondorf sent to the diferent places of hyrule and get poisioned for one of them, aweake a week later. Impa told him all the events and now he must go after Zelda, find her, protect her, become stronger in tha way and back to hyrule, to save it.

the fourth is about Ganondorf, this story take place after he is defeated, and explain how he get th armor, and how he can escape. The evil realm is a place than have doors around the world, and all the monsters, demons, and villians are confined here, Gasnondorf is just one more prisioner, and he want get out of there, to complete his revenge. The end of this story is the begining of the third story.

the third and fourth story is the problem now, if he isnt sealed away in the child story line, i cant start the tale when Link is adult because i cant write the Ganondorf story. And these 2 are my favorites and more worked :crying

that is why i need an answere

I think I might have found another thread to be a part of. Also, hey Mink! Awesome tattoo. ;)
Oh, anybody here do speedruns for either oot or mm?
Never attempted one. They're fun to watch, but I don't see the point in doing one myself. I like to take the games slowly and thoroughly enjoy them.
me too, for me, i dont see the fun of pass a gane with out have time of enjoy it

For me it depends on what game it is. For any Zelda games I don't do any speed runs unless I'm allowed to play through the game in more than one sitting. If I have to beat the game in one sitting for it to be considered a speed run then the only games I'd do a speed run for are games that I know I can beat within one sitting. Such games would include, but not limited to: any of the NES mario games from 1-3 (Am. #2), any Sonic games from the Sega Genesis, & Rocket Knight Adventures (as a specific example). I could list more NES, SNES, and Genesis games that I could speedrun, but that would make this post too ridiculously long. :awesome:

As for the Zelda timeline I myself find it difficult to follow. I need to watch it again, but I just go along with the AVGN's Zelda timeline theory.

The thing is with speed running zelda its much more technical than speed running a game like dkc2.

for zelda theres alot of running backards.
And jumping orners.

and never completing dungeons.

Huh? how can you beat a game like Orcarina of Time with completing dungeons? Does it involve hacking in some way?

Glitches. That speed-run video I posted, he doesn't even do any of the main dungeons, it's pretty much becoming Adult link right to fighting Ganondorf.

Huh. I never knew.
If that's the case then I probably won't better doing any speed runs since it pretty much skips most of the game, which for me actually playing the entire game is what's enjoyable as well as the point of playing the game in the first place. So if that's what the speed run for Orcarina of Time is, then whenever I feel like kicking Ganondorf's *** I'll just play a previously completed file and time myself.

Haha yup. Exactly how I feel about it. The whole point I play the game is to have fun, and the fun comes from the dungeons and such, skipping them is just an waste of an hour in my opinion, but whatever floats your boat.

I don't hear much similarities. They each have a few notes that are similar, but that's about it.

In the case of Pokémon, I think it's certainly similar enough. They're owned by the same company, so I mean... that's pretty much a given. Seeing as how Chrono Trigger was made for the SNES and followed ALttP, it was probably at least inspired by Sanctuary Dungeon. As for Omarion.. well it could be coincidence. He was born in 1984, so there's a good chance he played ALttP as a kid. If so, he either wrote this as an homage to the game, or as in the case of Trent Reznor writing A Warm Place, citing it as a tune that had been stuck in his head for years unbeknownst of its origins until finally recognizing that it was actually a David Bowie song titled Crystal Japan, perhaps Omarion had this tune stuck in his head for the greater part of his life, not recognizing its origins.

Speaking of, I wonder how far back the music in Skyward Sword will go? If there's a dungeon theme that's reminiscent of ALttP's I'll flip a ****.
