I have a problem anyways. My luigi is really solid, among top with my better chars but I never use him at tourneys because with a good snake/mk/marthh why bother? He almost always gets gayed in the end and I have a better option than him D:

I did all luigi. Until recently I'm just now seriously thinking about using snake as my real secondary. For MK tho yup.

any luigis who use snake/mk as a secondary can suck it, nothing personal. I secondary fox and dk, mainly because I get really tired of people that rely on spacing just hitting my shield over and over which causes luigi to slide and makes it impossible to get around the spacing. it's not even a tier thing... just try playing luigi against a really good zss or sonic some time.

I go all "main", but I have two mains. Doesn't matter the matchup, except the gay ones (falco-diddy which is painfully campy or mk-luigi which is unwinnable once the MK realizes he has got a B button) I can use both with equal results.
I second Marth and Yoshi, but I wouldn't use them in tourneys at the moment. I need to learn a lot more about those two.

btw, I'm happy. I've been struggling about the third jump glitch ever since I know about it and it filled my mind whenever I got to the ledge, making me play real dumb sometimes o_o
But now, it's over, I realized you could delay the lag by landing during a B move and then cancel it by landing during any aerial's. shweet. Just to be sure, uair is our aerial with the least landing lag, am I right ?

I used to, then tried Olimar as a secondary, just because friends would get bored of ALWAYS playing vs Luigi.

Then I discovered Brawl+.

I main Luigi and I'm trying to secondary Ganon. I barely play vBrawl anymore, and when I do, I pick MK and plank my *** off, because it's easy, funny to watch people get annoyed and motivates them to try Brawl+. =D

I'm Luigi-only.

The only times I use anyone else is during friendlies, and even then I only use Lucas and ZSS sparingly. We can't improve our Luigis' bad matchups if we never use him in those bad matchups.

There's nothing wrong with a secondary until he becomes a main.

I use Snake for MK and Marth for dittos. The thing is, I only have to use Marth and Snake once, because only one person uses Marth and one person uses MK. If I was at a big tournament, I'd give up on my secondaries and I'd go Luigi the whole thing since I'd be done anyways.

It comes down to if you want to be a hero or if you want to win.

otherwise, I have Mario, (whom l honestly don't bust out, so lm gonna use less luigi and go more Mario), Marth, Snake, MK, D3, Wario, Falco, ZSS as somewhat my secondaries lol. Probably Marth and Snake are my true secondaries though but like, I'm still in the state of "whose my cp against mk/d3/snake" >.>.

Also it's been a really long time since l've entered regular singles since NY only held a tourney per month and this month l can't really do much except for 1 tourney >.>. I mean has anyone been doing training mode? As in training tech skill to have precise control over their character such?

I use training mode for tech skill (got much, much better at it lately. <3 Yoshi), and wifi for experience. Smashfests are better for this obviously, but I'm not lucky enough to go to them often =/

btw, woah. That's quite a bunch of characters you got there. While I agree that character dedication isn't rewarding (unless ur MK), playing too much different characters make you progress so slow that sux. I wish I had enough time to learn ICs, Wario and Pikachu D=

All the others there's a way to pass by, like landing behind them Wario style or poking them with a nair while hovering backward... Or just double jumping away... So much to do <3

I main snake and secondary luigi like nappy, and like nappy I too never really find a good time to bring him out, I've won doubles before with luigi and teamed with a mario but other then that I can really only think of him being useful as cp's against diddy and oli (who are 2 characters which are difficult for snake and both have luigi, arguably, as their worst matchup) and maybe a cp against rob?
but no one in my area plays those characters so I have no matchup experiance...

realistically, snake has easier time and doesn't have to work as much compared to luigi, while luigi has to do 2x the work to approach someone while snake can just walk and shield and ftilt with ease.

and yeah i understand pretty much, most people tend to keep and pick up luigi now for those olimars and diddy kongs and sometimes warios who are becoming popular in the tourney scene, but the trick is that, you need to get deep sometimes esp if that person can adapt or has high luigi exp

I've done it sometimes, but most of the time they space themselves correctly so it doesn't have much use.

Well ive been playing around with falco a lot in friendlies lately, i have a lot more trouble with wills dk then mk when im snake, but that could just be a lack of experience playing against snake for him. Most ddds if I just ask them to not infinite me they won't lol, but sometimes they just say something like "play to win man".

Usually in the atlantic south (mainly GA and florida) they have the infinites banned, or the d3s there just choose not to do it.

But falco in the back pocket now for d3s, and snake for mk and marth. Im hoping to go to S.N.E.S in massachusteets, u shoudl totally go hippe =).

i was thinking of wario against mk/d3/snake for once, aerial DI and opposite play style but similar to luigi's and aircamping is just so cheap lol

Also hippie, snake is one of my favorite matchups to do as luigi, i would never switch to anyone else as ive practiced and practiced that matchup to death, got a feel for what i need to do and have started to exploitit, definitly one of my better matchups.

As for not use falco against marth, id rather just go snake for personal reasons, and i feel that falco also loses that matchup against him. SNake just works better for me in that matchup.

Wario would be good for u to use against snake/ meta, but im not a huge fan of watching a ddd vs wario match lol

Yea luigi back throw into my charge shot is really really tasty as well as if esca missed an UP+B ill just zair him(4%) and he is free of the free fall. Since luigi can combo and KO, samus can stock tank. The team works out well.
