In the back of a Little Ceasers, Making dough
you can angle falcons forward smash? i didnt know that.

1.
No.

2.
It was stupid and lucky.
unless you had a 2 stock lead on him, in which case it was win
It was on the last stalk and I had a one stalk lead.

Player-3's word is law here.

It's been thrown around a lot, it's risky, but obviously you knew when to use it and didn't spam it a million times beforehand since it hit, so good job :)

Edit: owait away from the stage? I probably wouldn't do that again but it did hit...
I only do that like 1 out of 5 matches. I don't do it often. (witch is why I think ppl get hit by it) The timing just almost never seems right to me, but it has its chances

You can angle it up or down...
I think if you angle it down, it semi-spikes when the opponent has no ground underneath them...so moderate edge-guard option, angling up makes it hit up higher...

There are a lot of fsmashes you can angle. Yoshi's can be angled, but the animation barely changes.

when angled up it also has the most knockback and damage
I think with almost all ftilts that can be angled (I think there is like one exception to this), the up angle does more damage and knockback, balanced by the down angle having a lower trajectory and a chance to trip sometimes, but a lower damage output than a regular ftilt.

I play with it off, so I can spam U-Tilt. If you can show me visual proof that you can Raptor Boost out of a SH aerial, I'll believe you.
okay.. ill make a vid. its easier with TJ off. I personally use tap jump off in brawl because I play other characters like yoshi, luigi, and there up b/jump sometimes will get interupted.

If no one does it by Friday when my stuff should be back, I'll post a vid. Or you could just turn tap jump on for a bit, or set it to a different tag and try this. You just do a rising shorthop aerial, like the autocanceled dair, but with bair, and since it's faster, you can use Raptor Boost before you hit the ground.

Ok that works. And I know there are advantages to tap jump on and off (I personally use on, I have no problem utilting and can always use the x button), but I thought for this it would be better to have it on so you could make sure you hit the c-stick as you're jumping to finish the aerial as fast as you can.

I could never short-hop using the control stick...and sometimes I accidentally double jump when I go for an u-air and end up killing myself because I didn't realise I had already used my second jump.
Ah wells.

Wogrim, tell me if you want to test this perfectly. You can test this with 100% accuracy using a code after hacking your Wii. It would be amazing. You could tell if any of these are real combos, exactly what their options are and the like.

where can i find this?

I got bored and started playing around with Falcon's Punch. After a little while I started doing wall jump on edges of BF and stuff like that. Then decided to add a reversed punch after the wall tech. To my surprise the punch made contact right at the edge where someone might be trying to edgehog.

My question is can the wall jump be aimed just high enough on the side of BF and the reversed punch be made to land on the stage instead of hitting the ledge? It seems really close to landing on the ledge all it would need it seems is a bit more time, and my timing might be a bit off.

Sounds a bit like that "Forsaken Recovery" thing that Wogrim has in his Falcon Punch video guide...
Except I think that one doesn't involve a wall-jump, just flick away from the ledge jump, reverse punch.

just pm him, he'll give you the codes

We need a few more stickies on this board, ie, we need frame data. Noddlehead, is there anyway you could do the frame data, just slowly by slowly?
yeah, but i get bored with that stuff. i started a while back but just quit cause it's time consuming and boring. maybe...

I got a good question for you, instead of having the C-Stick as smash what do you guys think about changing it to attack. I say this because Right/left tilt is faster than the smash down tilt shakes them up by lifting them off the ground and considering how you approach this oppurtunity it could do some good. Then you got up tilt. When you feel like your in the kill range just use the A. So what do you guys think about having the C-stick as Attack?

I was just saying for the whole attacking while rising thing it may be easier, but it could just be that I normally use it, and I don't really have trouble short-hopping, but I agree that it's easier with X.

I'm planning on doing it when I get my Wii back, but it's probably going to be about ten days until I can finish. If someone will do it before then, works for me, otherwise I'll do it.

I think there was a thread about wall jumping and landing like you would autoland on a platform, or it was posted in this thread or something, and the only thing that the person could do before he landed onstage was bair. But maybe it's possible, trying in training at 1/4 speed would probably make the timing easier if it is possible to pull off.

I wouldn't do it, but if you think that would make you better, you should do it. I don't have trouble using tilts with A, and hyphen smashes would probably be harder without using the c-stick, but tilts would be easier your way I guess.

I know what your saying i think it still works because I was able to do snakes little mortar thing. I just thought it would be quick yet easier because you don't have to worry to much about dashing out of place.

If nothing else helps, experience from matches. After you learn all the techs, it comes down to matchup experience, player experience, character experience.

Attend In person tournies so you don't get nervous *REALLY IT HELPS MAN*, and find as many people that are better than you as you can, and play them until your fingers BLEED, or your brain melts from their superior mindgames.

Also, spacing and timing practice. Just about everyone I meet has an issue with one of those two.

I'd also recommend a secondary for the most nightmarish matchups falcon has, like Olimar and MK...
