Yeah im working on a new value now Plum. Love the constructive feedback guys, keep it up. I'll try and bring a new set for public testing maybe by the end of today or tomorrow!

future reference tho, i think it would be say to announce changes being added to the next version before its released that way we know wut to look out for.
Im looking forward to testing out the new values myself (including sheik changes >=) )

By weaker i meant slightly nerfed, but if it killed earlier for your friend then either you someone DI'ed the wrong way or the comp DI'ed my Fsmash O_o ( I was fighting DDD so it would explain how your friend got it to kill at a lower percentage due to his weight)
-I agree with the buff for his copy move, buy im not sure if they can chage that or not. If so then yes.

2) Yes, we can theoretically change the exit lag of the Copy. We'll discuss whether or not this is really necessary or frivolous. These days it seems like people only accept the most dire of necessary changes. People only want us to work on characters that "need it", regardless of how much sense a change to a good character makes.

The reason we don't release things beforehand is because none of these are official releases anyway. They're all always test builds and as such are prone to constant (read: nightly) change. Telling you guys everything that we're doing every time would be exhausting and is easily accomplished by the patch notes on every build instead. In fact these nightly builds ARE our way of telling you guys what we're up to, because these builds are what make up the precursors of the true releases.


EDIT: @ Fox Laser Shieldlock
This is an old, old phenomenon that is well-known by the WBR. Quite simply, it will never be removed. I know this because I did the testing for this stuff myself a long while back.
Currently, Fox's lasers shieldlock only at close ranges and only keeps them locked until about the half-way range of the laser. This is, of course, because Fox's lasers do less damage with more range and thus less shieldstun.

The reason why the lock won't get removed completely is because the needed shieldstun value to remove the lock is ridiculously low, and considering how 2/2/1, the most recent value, is already too low for everyone (and the lock still exists even then), there's just no way to go lower.

We've toyed with the idea of adding a break point, but that will just screw up jabs.

So when you're testing out shieldstun, the presence of the Laser Shieldlock is not the thing you should be testing for in order to determine too much stun. Instead, it's the range of the shieldlock you should be testing for.
No one is going to shield a Fox laser at close range, there's just no reason to.
The laser start-up isn't faster than shield drop.
Overall, the shieldlock isn't really a problem and is definitely not something any Brawl+ Fox uses in their game.

-I dunno why it seems weaker to me O-o
-well in the end its up to you guys. Kirby's copy tech to me is pretty pointless due to my playstyle. I would rather inhale throw someone off the stage than use copy.
-If its gonna be more hassle for you guys then yall dont have to do it. Just trying to ofer some ways in which we can prevent more beta's in the future.

is it possible to return sheild stun back to 4/7's set. the only problems I had were laser locks from fox and lucas's nair.

Yeah, i know what you mean! I liked the momentum in Brawl+ 3.3 a lot more. It feels like Brawl that is just A LITTLE better. Could we have better momentum in the next version?

No, the momentum is the SAME, it's just the shieldstun making the game feel more defensive.

If thats the case, i hope that something can be done with Sheik and Zelda's transformation, so that they can have one set transformation time.

Dude, they think its slow which I agree and I've seen several other users say the same thing. 55 users downloaded my latest code set which is addressing the flow/speed problem so there obviously, at least 55 people are not satisfied with the pace of the game and want something faster.

Its not complaining, its feedback. Unless you are going to make the game faster, their "complaining" won't stop with the next set. That kind of attitude of, "we don't care, just play what we give you' is not the right attitude. I think the pace of play is a valid concern that the plussery is obviously ignoring.

Question, is that code literally instant?
Or is the loading time just an instant thing? If the actual transformation is instant then that would be too good. But if it is just loading the character info instantly with a standardized transformation speed because of it then that would be great.

Tested the new dsmash and fsmash for G&W in the codeset.

Dsmash feels fine, and I mamanged t improve it, however, fsmash isn't affected at all. Shanus, I'll pm you updates for both.

After updating from Plussery 4.0 to 4.1 (Apr. 23 version) I cannot get to the strap loading screen. Any help? Should I update to Gecko 1.8.0.2?

Edit: I updated my Gecko to 1.8.0.2, but still freeze at the strap screen.

Jesus, it feels like one of the worst smashes in the game. If you use it, and dont hit, it's game over for G&W.
It's not even particularly impressive if you do hit, not like Bowser's Fsmash.

If your talking about 4.1 4-23, that was a mistake. Its fixed in 4-25 release.

GnW is good.. sourspot sends at almost impossible to recover positions for some characters and sweetspot star ko's. his smashes are fine. if anything, id complain about landing lag, which is ok, it balances him

edit: nevermind, haven't tested gnw in 4/23

Its not good if you need to timing again and again....the move is just good,but not the best,its Top 10 maybe.
For now,i think this should not be nerf at this point,lets see what they think.

and about his Nair,well,i dont know because my wii stop reading discs >.<

Dair works the same as before, nothing's changed (meaning, you can do anything you did before with it except Usmash on some of the cast). I can still land Dair > Utilt perfectly fine, if you're having trouble work on your timing.
