My point is that we've done more than enough surprise picks here. Each official Smash game has only done about 1 or 2, we've added about a dozen. We don't need any more surprise or WTF picks. I fail to see the problem with adding characters people genuinely want.

I mean... no offense, but aren't you the one who advocated for Sakura? I know she's huge in Japan, but from a Western perspective she's the embodiment of "surprise/WTF". Heck, I bet most would think she's a Fire Emblem character at first glance or something.

Alright throwing my grain of salt in the conversation.

Genuilly sad for dont have the possibility of submit Dante Nor Travis in the future since they had a lot of potential. Thought I can see that we still have more options (what it comes to my mind would be 2B, Ryu Hayabusa or Noah & Mio).

In the other hand just mentioning the last part, I think in terms of what makes sense and what not I think that Japan usually has a slightly bigger preference since stills being the main market of Nintendo. And I dont say it because I'm a Sakura fan or something since even if she looks interesing I never played any game of her so I know next to Nothing about it.

but honestly i think i might agree with GamingGryff's arguments here some of the characters we're going to focus on might not be very shocking even if it's a fan project i feel more satisfied when there's a balance of characters people wanted & ones no one would expect if anything this isn't looking l ike a smash game.

but i digress since i always come around and accept things in the past so the same could happen with this one.

Exactly this. And the thing is. Sakura was a good pick. She's a pick most of us (I knew her tbf but I'm willing to bet a lot of the thread didnt) didn't know but someone was passionate about and got them in. More of that would be great!

Yes, I was, but I think niche picks should be a rarity, not the norm. We added so many in the base game that we don't need to big down DLC with them too, and we already have a niche pick in this set (which, by and by I think is the worst addition to the roster thus far, but that's beside the point). We should be focusing our efforts on the fan favorites who for some reason we still haven't added, or big names.

Don't see much point in adding them as DLC costumed only to to make them playable a pack later.

I could had swear there was a poll on updating asset trophies or mii costumes and most people are fine with it.

Either way, maybe if we reach to the final character. Maybe give them a chance to be updated? If a game like this were to exist. I think it should hold nothing back except maybe adding a fourth-party rep but hey you never know.

Base Costumes? Sure. Stuff we just added as DLC and people would have to pay for? Probably not a good idea

Last thing I'll say on this but the Angry Brids are way less niche than Dante or Travis. Yeah, AB has dipped a bit in popularity but it's still a huge casual series that had two Hollywood movies. I love DMC and like NMH but c'mon now.

The costume is based on Mike Jones, protagonist of obscure nintendo NES game "Star Tropics", released in 1990 along with sequel in 1992.

The costume would consist of his hair and his outfit (Blue shirt and dark blue pants).
The sword is replaced by his baseball bat from his artwork.

This mii costume would be based on Morrigan Aensland, one of playable characters from Capcom's Darkstalkers series.

The costume would consist of:
Outfit: Her outfit (plus her wings) with purple leggins and boots.
Headgear: Her with (with tiny wings)
Fists: her hands.

Now you're asking, how would this work? Simple: the animations depend on whether or not you're wearing the full set: if using one part and not the other, it's made to look like origami, like in Paper Mario: The Origami King. But with the full set, the Mii Brawler becomes truly flat with Mr. Game & Watch-style animation.

Mumbo Jumbo (Swordfighter)

A witch doctor and secondary protagonist of Banjo-Kazooie, helping the bear and bird in their travels. The outfit consists of the gold skull mask and feathers for the helmet and the magenta body, fur pelt, and gold skull staff that he's known for.

Midna costume (Brawler) - her right arm and fist are her hair, and her actual right arm is resting on her hip.

The 4 ghosts are stacked atop one another. Blinky commands, Pinky punches, Inky runs and kicks, and Clyde is just chilling. The bottoms of the ghosts use dress physics - there's pale legs below Inky like the Pac-Man "naked ghost" cutscene which is often not visible, not unlike Peach or Zelda's feet. Like the ferret fella in the Rex costume, there's some light animation with Clyde rubbing his nose, Inky swaying his arms, and Blinky holding his fists on his "hips".

That's 6 total costumes plus several veterans which leaves us around 8.

I feel this is a good number for Mii Costumes in this wave so we will be capping them for now

The Icon of Sin animatronic is a furnishing based on its first phase from Doom Eternal. It moves to replicate the moves it does, and sometimes it belts out demonic language as well. It even lights up red when it talks, too. Among the voicelines it has, it will sometimes say, "!oremoR nhoJ ,em llik tsum uoy ,emag eht niw oT", its aggro quote from Doom II. This is also a very big animatronic, on par with the Shin Godzilla animatronic that never made it into the movie.
