This would be a decently large stage with the layout shown here

The stage wouldn't have much movement but you can see various enemies and characters from Starfox Adventures in the background, General Scales will even show up and attack players on the stage. The gray pillars can be destroyed

Thank you everyone for both your votes and submissions! Here are the results of our Smash Dungeon, Currency, and Mii Costumes

NameTotal
Mini Trophy Stand1
Smash Coins & Bills5
Mini Smash Balls1

NameTotal
Tokusatsu Dungeon4
Big World Dungeon1
Wonderland Dungeon2

Name
NameTotal
Electricity4
Haunting1
Movie2

For the currency, this festival will have: Smash Coins & Bills
For a Dungeon, it will be Tokusatsu Dungeon,
For the Mii Costumes, it will be electricity...I made a mistake with counting earlier

Next, here are our stage submissions:

Squid Sisters Event:
Great Fray Rainbow featuring the Squid Sisters!

A unique series of rhythm minigames based on Splatoon soundtracks. There are three to choose from based on difficulty:
  1. Easy: City of Color (Requires 5000 points to unlock Medium)
  2. Medium: Bomb Rush Blush (Requires 7500 points to unlock Hard)
  3. Hard: Calamari Inkantation
The way these are played is that you are on an idol stage while the song plays in the background, your character on the center. You use your inputs to your advantage (Barring some special inputs like Kazuya's Diagonal tilts or Ryu/Ken's FGC inputs) and input right on the beat. Your character will move around in their own way while performing. But once you complete all three of the above, all with Perfect Ratings, you'll unlock a secret fourth option:

Extreme: Great Fray Rainbow ft. the Squid Sisters!

An entirely unique song by the Squid Sisters, "Great Fray Rainbow" combines the upbeat idol rhythm the duo are known for with the triumphant and uplifting battle beats synonymous with Super Smash Bros. Score 15000 points on Great Fray Rainbow and you'll unlock one final fateful event: an Idol Duel with the Squid Sisters! Fighting the Squid Sisters is about as difficult as fighting Sephiroth normally, but your character gets buffs proportionate to the amount of points you gained from the previous 4 minigames. Defeat the Squid Sisters, and you'll permanently unlock them for your roster!

Online Tournament:
Live On Xbox!

The following fighters are allowed for this Tournament:
  • Banjo & Kazooie
  • Steve
  • Crash Bandicoot
  • Doom Slayer
  • Master Chief
The following stages are only selectable:
  • Spiral Mountain
  • Blood Gulch
  • Minecraft World
  • N. Sanity Beach
  • Mars
  • Ancients Ascent

OG Character Stage:
View attachment 383002
Mario Toy Company

From Mario vs. Donkey Kong and its upcoming remake, the Mario Toy Company is the setting for the first world of the game. The stage layout consists of a large Kalos Pokemon League-style main platform in the center with two giant green platforms on the side. At some point in the fight, two buttons appear: one blue and one red. When hitting either button, platforms corresponding to that color will appear. Hitting the other button will switch them over. As an added bonus, Mario Toys will appear behind fighters dependent on the number of stocks they've taken. This is mainly an aesthetic choice.

Mushroom Village (Mario)

Village Square in Mario Party Superstars

The setting of the very first Mario Party game, specifically the Hub world where you could choose which mode you wanted to play. The setting was so iconic that it was later brought back in Mario Party Superstars. The stage will travel to each of the locations in the picture, before then going down the pipe and starting back at the bridge in front. I specifically chose this because, first off it's strange we don't have a new Mario stage at all in Infinite Beyond despite having stages for Zelda, Kirby, and Pokemon. Second off, Mario Party is one of the most iconic Mario spinoffs after Mario Kart and it certainly deserves a stage since Mario Kart already has multiple, and what better option than the first game's iconic hub? Various Toads and other Mario species will wander in the background like in the second picture.
This just barely counts, being a 2006 release, buuut...
Rosy Rupeeland

This stage takes place on the rupee tower, and has the castle from the game's title screen in the background - balloons fly in diagonally from the bottom of the screen, each with their own Tingle attached (referencing the title of Balloon Trip of Love, as well as Tingle being a species in the plot of Rosy Rupeeland), each balloon is a hard platform that you can pop, sending the Tingles flying into the ground or water of the tower - if they're lucky enough to land on another balloon or the edge of the tower, they'll fall off, which can sometime create a funny scenario where a Tingle is bouncing off of other Tingle's balloons like Pachinko. Each balloon that pops creates rupee items, which are essentially weak healing items (rupees are Tingle's life force in FPTRR) that bounce like stars. A hard floor can come out either or both sides of the Rupee Tower on some occasions, creating a walk-off and wall, and preventing Tingles from entering. Balloons can also reflect projectiles
Mario's Artist Studio (Super Mario)

View attachment 383026

There's not much content for the Nintendo 64DD so why don't we go with an obscurer Mario title for a stage based one of the original fighters? Basically, the fighters stand on a 64-bit stage that transports them to the various areas of the Mario Artist game. In the Paint Studio, they stand on a canvas where drawings are made of various characters seen in Super Smash Bros Infinite: Beyond. Watch out for the ink blobs coming! In the Talent Studio, you are in an animation studio where various images are placed as hazards as you are now on a movie screen. The communication kit area allows you to fight on the various postcards and designs used then to share with friends. Finally, the polygon studio allows for the fighters to stand on the 3D plane used to make 3D models in the game.

As described by IGN, Mario Artist was the "killer app" for the 64DD.
Ok, I got it.

Sprout Tower
Pokemon Gold & Silver

This was intended for Melee but it lines up with our content restrictions. This location lines up with our time requirements and is from Pokemon Gold and Silver. This is a traveling stage in the same vein as those like Rumble Falls and Icicle Mountain where it scrolls upwards. The stage will sway side to side slightly and players scramble up wooden platforms that seem to have been constructed for Smash rather than for monks worshipping the Almighty Bellsprout. There are about 10 floors that players have to get through which generally lasts 2:00 minutes. Finally, players find themselves at the top of Sprout Tower. The pagoda is roughly 100 feet tall so it overlooks Johto. In the background, players can see the Bell Tower and Burnt Tower. Mt. Pyre can be viewed from in the background as well along with forests. It seems this version of the stage is during a festival at night as paper lanterns are hanging everywhere with crowds of people in the background milling about. In fact, the interior of the tower also has a warm, red glow.

As players move upwards, Bellsrpouts can be seen dancing about on the flowers as well as Weepingbells and even a Victreebell. Finally, upon arriving at the top, players may even see Ho-oh in the background where it will perch upon the Bell Tower. This also means Ho-oh as a Pokeball Pokemon cannot be summoned. In addition, Bellsrpout dances on the roof with occasional Crobats and Noctowls flying in the distance.

I based this submission loosely on the Johto: Bell Tower stage mod.

Next, we will be doing two Mii costume-related jobs....

We will be submitting a Mii Costume based on Electricity

This is problematic as we already have a Mii Brawler, Mii Swordfighter, and Mii Gunner based on lightning. This was a part of our Elemental Set. So this is rather redundant and it is VERY vague. DragonRobotKing26 DragonRobotKing26 who submitted this job didn't clearly outline what could be submitted for this.

To facilitate submissions, I took the idea and sort of tweaked it....

Submit a Mii Costume set involving Technology

We will be including up to 4 Mii Costumes for each set that is full within the Technology umbrella. For example, let's say "Fantasy" was one of our theme sets so under that there were: Hero, Villain, and Monster with each of those having a set of Mii Costumes that are modeled around that concept. For this job, we will include 3 sets and between 3 to 4 costumes per set.

Submit a single Theme Set plus which Mii Costumes would go into it. This is an example of our Elemental Theme Set

Burning Cinderfist Outfit:ultbrawler:Super Smash Bros.
  • Cinderfist Helmet
  • Cinderfist Outfit
Shares the same armor with Cinderblade and Cindershot. Fists become volcanic.Store
Cascading Hydrofist Outfit:ultbrawler:Super Smash Bros.

Quaking Golemfist Outfit:ultbrawler:Super Smash Bros.
  • Golemfist Mask
  • Golemfist Outfit

Submit a Mii Costume based on an Assist Trophy from Brawl

We will be submitting Assist Trophies that continue to be Assist Trophies from Brawl as a Mii Costume. All Mii Costumes from Smash 4 are included so those shouldn't be submitted. Here are the following eligible costumes that can be made into Mii Costumes.

  • Devil
  • Dr. Wright
  • Hammer Bro
  • Jeff
  • Knuckle Joe
  • Kat & Ana
  • Lyn
  • Samurai Goroh

Quick question, Venus of the Desert Bloom Venus of the Desert Bloom : do the other new Mii Fighters (Mage & Athlete) get the elemental ones that were there before? Like, will we see a Smouldering Cinderstaff for Mii Mage or Splashing Hydrofoot for the Mii Athlete?

Technological Mii Costume:

Springing Cyberfoot (Mii Athlete)
This Mii Costume is a cybernetic body with coils for limbs and as part of the torso. The coils have specific jiggle physics in which they spring whenever an attack is performed.

Brawl Assist Mii Costume:

This would be a outfit made of hard white plastic with black accents (Think Eve from Wall-E or Stormtroopers) and Blue Lights There are also various computer parts controlling the lights on top of the body. The staff is a large white plastic rod with blue lights all throughout. Underneath all the armor is various robotic parts.

So here is our possible lineup for possible newcomers in Year 2 of Infinite Beyond

  1. Festival of Frost (newcomer) Dec-Jan
  2. Festival of Roses (no newcomer) Feb
  3. User-Voted Franchise festival (newcomer) Mar
  4. Spring Festival (newcomer) Apr
  5. 1 User Voted Theme Festival (newcomer) Jun
  6. Fun Sun Summer Fest 2 (no newcomer) Jul/Aug
  7. Festival of Fright (newcomer) Oct
  8. Year 2 Festival (2~) Nov
Total: 7~

Sorry for such a rushed poll, and I am leaving voting up to you guys, do you think we should include another newcomer in Year One Festival?

Here is how it breaks down.....
  • 0 (this allows us to focus only on Squid Sisters and possibly add unplanned character for a later festival or have 2 characters for a festival)
  • 1 (We just have our planned lineup as seen above)
  • 2 (we would have to remove one character plan from our festival lineup)

I will be publishing the results of our stage voting in a little bit but I do want to explain a bit about the theme set....

We will have 3 sets based on Technology which is an offshoot of electricity. I will do the first set....

Space Commando Set
Number of Associated Mii Costumes: 4
  1. Space Monk Outfit
    1. Gives the Mii Costume an advanced space suit with electromagnetic gauntlets to deliver grueling punches.
  2. Space Samurai Outfit
    1. Gives the Mii Costume a high-tech Japanese samurai outfit that seems to be made for space along with a pressurized oni mask. The blade is a light saber-type weapon.
  3. Space Wizard Outfit
    1. Gives the opponent a high fantasy mixed with space opera-esque vibes with flowing robes and a pressurized suit. Has an advanced summoning rod that rotates with a galaxy in the middle.
  4. Space Trainer Outfit
    1. Someone trains all 3 of these classes. Has a pressurized high-tech suit with several made-up official distinctions of valor and station.

Here are some concepts we could go with....

Literal "Wireframe Outfits"
Robotic Outfits
Bio-organic Outfits
Dieselpunk Outfits
Victorian-era Vibes
Scientist/Labratory
Computer Viruses
etc

We have spots for 2 sets, you can decide to include all 5 classes of Miis that are in that set OR you can only include 3 of them but it needs to be 3 to 5.

Next, here are our Mii Costume submissions!

Our final set of jobs will be centered yet again around Mii Costumes. Also, please make sure to check the poll at the top of the thread as I am adding a new one up there....

Also did we not already add Lyn Mii Costume in Infinite? (Should be on front page).
And, as for Lyndis, as you are correct. GolisoPower GolisoPower , I apologize for having you waste a slot on the submission as she was a Mii Costume already. That is my fault. Do you want to submit someone else?

I will keep submissions open so GolisoPower GolisoPower can make a substitute submission. We are not on a tight timeframe so we can be a bit more flexible.

We will be doing two more Mii Costume Jobs....

Submit a Deluxe Mii Costume from a Third Party Franchise

We will be submitting a Mii Costume that is deluxe Mii Costume from a third-party franchise that has a history with Nintendo. This Mii Costume bars the characters from being included in Season 2 but does not discount the series as an eligible fighter. There needs to be at least 2 games from this franchise on a Nintendo console.

Submit a Mii Costume from a First-Party Franchise
We will be adding a Mii Costume from a major first-party franchise represented by a playable character that does not have a Mii Costume in Infinite Beyond yet. Here are the following first-party franchises that have a Mii Costume already
  • Super Mario Bros
  • Pokemon
  • Fire Emblem
  • Zelda

Franchises such as Kid Icarus, ARMS, Xenoblade, F-Zero, Earthbound, Astral Chain, and more are open for submission. This is not taking the most recent submissions of a Brawl Assist Trophy into account.

Does the Mischief Makers stage automatically deconfirm her from being submitted as a playable character for the foreseeable future? Or is she still technically eligible?
Well, considering we already have a Mischief Makers stage, that doesn't bode well with Marina Liteyears but, yes, a Mii Costume would outright discount her automatically as it would be a double wammie.

So, given that we added Sprout Tower stage.... it probably doesn't need a whole music submission round given that's its just one location in an already robustly (in the music department) represented franchise. But at the very least we should perhaps added one of the themes of Sprout Tower to the song list on the front page? Like it would be strange to have Sprout Tower stage but not be able to play its signature theme on it.

Like some stages from already represented series probably don't need full music submission rounds, but they should probably at least come with the song from that specific location. Another weird thing I noticed is that there doesn't seem to be any Kirby and the Forgotten Land music despite there being a stage from the game on the front page. Again, maybe it doesn't need a full music submission round, especially this late after the stage was added, but I feel like there should at least be some songs from the game to come with the stage. It would be strange in a real setting to have a new Kirby and the Forgotten Land stage but only being able to play songs from previous Kirby games on it. Maybe could just pick 3-5 songs and add in like with other filled in content for stuff that people don't submit (example being character content).

We will be keeping Deluxe Mii Fighters open but we will be commencing our Newcomer Submission today! I know it is a bit early but I have the time and open availability to help filter out our submissions unlike usual. We elected to include one more character for this

I will commence our submissions in about 4 hours but, that being said, the focus will be yet again first-party content and, aside from the Mii Costume Assist trophies that we just submitted, we will be submitting based on....

First-Party Character from a Character-Established Franchise

We are expanding our first party roster seeing this is our Festival to celebrate Smash and so we will be looking at established franchises in Smash. This will be a unique fighter that, unlike the Squid Sisters, will be wholly unique and not based on another character. Now, for those who were wishing for a third-party character, don't worry, that will be coming in other festivals so please keep that in mind. Now, we included our two stages: Sprout Tower and Planet Clancer. We will not be including any new stages in this festival so this character WILL NOT BE coupled with a stage so that is something important to keep in mind. While that may seem restricting, it allows us to free-up submissions compared to Ultimate/Infinite's Fighter Pass structure. We don't have to base our character submissions on "but we already have a stage and content that this character is from".

Current franchises that are not allowed:
  • Pikmin
  • Pokemon
  • Star Fox
  • Splatoon
  • Sin & Punishment

Now, the content we included in base Infinite Beyond is not allowed as our current Assist Trophy Mii Costumes are also barred so anything else is fair game.

WE ARE NOT DOING SUBMISSIONS NOW JUST DISCUSSION AND PLANNING

First Party Discussion

Toad really is quite a missing sore spot on this roster, even with everyone we've added, that fact that he's still absent is absolutely bizarre. He quite is literally a giant gaping hole in our First Party representation. Toadette could also be an Alph type costume for him obviously, and we can replace Peach and Daisy's neutral B with Toadsworth and Prince Florian respectively. (Toadsworth is obvious given his parental relationship to Peach, while Prince Florian would be a great choice for Daisy because of Mario Wonder being her very first playable main series appearance. It wouldn't change the actual move at all, just the look, which is fine cause Cloud also got his Final Smash changed in Ultimate's DLC). Pauline is also an excellent choice, which is a shame that they have to come from the same series. (Hopefully we can have a shortened "cool off" period for Mario specifically the same way the series was granted an exception in the original Infinite thread and got 3 unique characters).

Thank you everyone for your submissions earlier. We will continue to allow the Mii Costume submissions but, going from here, we will also be submitting for....

First-Party Newcomer Submission

This character will be joining the Squid Sisters at the Year One Festival. I have time to help with fielding submissions so if you have any questions, please ping me. I will be a bit busy tomorrow though. In regards to submissions, here are the requirements:

  • Must be first-party
  • Must be from a series that is represented by a character
  • Cannot be from a series that has a newcomer within launch and Year 1 of Infinite Beyond
  • Must be unique and not based on a current character
  • Characters that were submitted for a Mii Costume during this round as well as Assist Trophy's that we are currently voting on are disbarred. This means the following are ineligible: Hammer Bros., Samurai Goroh, Mr. Wright, Kat & Ana, Knuckle Joe, Panther Caroso, Andy, Rover and Jody Summers.
  • While not required, a male character is preferrable as we have both Shantae and Squid Sisters in succession.

Debuting in Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga, Fawful is one of the main villains in this game.

The reasons why him? Fawful was part of my childhood, when I played Mario and Luigi: Bowser’s Inside Story. Plus having at least 1 new Mario rep in smash is inevitable. Also he is a villain, and we could use more villains in smash.

Rambi the Rhino breaks through!

Iconic yet overlooked, DK's loyal steed is a classic character and one of the most consistent characters in the DK franchise. A tough, horned quadruped (with a dog-like soft side), Rambi would be a fast but powerful ultraheavyweight, good at breaking defenses, who suffers from poor range, with his horn being non-opposable and his legs being stubby. Perhaps Rambi could be the second character to use the Cargo Throw, allowing him to take his opponents on a wild ride, whether they like it or not!

SHY GUY
1705517934670.png

Shy Guys are recurring enemies in the Yoshi's Island series, known for their diminutive statures and iconic masks. Much like Piranha Plant, Shy Guy is a mook character with countless variations and ways to make them stand out. Now despite this being majorly a Mario enemy, I'm submitting this as a Yoshi character due to it's greater prominence there.

Alear

The Divine Dragon and Lord of Fire Emblem Engage.

Yes, Alear would primarily use a sword but with Alear they could also bring Emblems, Summons of past Fire Emblem characters that can Engage with Alear and fuse their powers together. Alear is also commonly depicted with Fist attacks

Which could also be integrated into their gameplay.

I feel these additions could make Alear feel fresh in this roster.

1st Party Newcomer: Skull Kid (The Legend of Zelda)

300px-Hyrule_Warriors_Artwork_Skull_Kid.png

Skull Kid is a reocurring character from The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask, he is an creature who lives in the lost woods, also he is posessed by the majora's mask who himself stole.

Skull Kid is a very popular Zelda character from the series,Skull Kid is in Smash 4 but as an assist trophy and he appears in the crossover of The Legend of Zelda with Cript of The Necromancer,he can be one more of those assist trophies who went promoted to be playable.

Resubmitting Toad (Mario)

Toad (Mario)

View attachment 382002

Does he/do they need much of an introduction? Since this little mushroom guy debuted in 1985 in the original Super Mario Bros, Toad has been a mainstay in the Mario series. Appearing in countless spinoffs alongside even having a role in the Super Mario Bros Movie this year, he's (or they are as Toads have confirmed to not have a gender) iconic and he/they has/have been a fan request for a long time.

They have so much moveset potential. Watch this for instance.

Overall, despite our roster being bloated with Mario content, we can squeeze in one of the last Nintendo all-stars onto our roster.

Primid
So this may be a stretch, but here me out, Smash Bros is technically a franchise repped in the Smash Bros franchise, and of Primid is an iconic Smash original character. After wrapping your head around that statement let me tell you that Primid would actually be a good choice as a playable fighter in Smash Infinite, they would be a composite character comprising not only the Primid enemy type but also the entire Subspace Emissary story mode, which I think is a cool hook for a fighter concept. It's an odd choice sure, but one I think could work in the context of this thread. If its not allowed, I totally understand, but its worth a shot asking.

Resubitting:

Paper Mario joins the fold!

Paper Mario is the most prominent and longest-running Mario RPG series, even receiving a remake this year of The Thousand Year Door. Despite appearances, Paper Mario would play very differently from Mario. Possible things that could be incorporated are his hammer, partners, a timed attack mechanic, and various paper-themed attacks, pulled from games across the series. Overall, I just think he'd be a fun and exciting pick for Smash.
